This is Nick and Frankie, their school bus conversion tiny home, and their 3 beautiful dogs. One night they watched a documentary about a couple who were traveling around the United States, and they looked at each other, and asked, “can we do that?”

Fast forward to today, and they’re living full-time in their custom-built skoolie with a raised roof so it feels pretty spacious inside. It’s painted white, has custom windows, solar panels, and there’s even a wood-burning stove inside to make it feel like you’re in a cabin. Enjoy the photo and video tour below!

This is the story of Shelby and Rooster and how they turned a 2006 Heartland Bighorn RV (a 5th wheel travel trailer) into their very own affordable Bohemian-style Tiny Home on Wheels. But let me tell you, living in small spaces in nothing new for them because shorty after they married in 2015, they lived on a boat and have been living tiny ever since.

Rooster is in the military and Shelby is an online ESL teacher. So the tiny house on wheels lifestyle works great for them. See how they transformed their RV into a beautiful tiny home below. Have you ever considered renovating an RV instead of building or buying a tiny house on wheels?

Here’s a tiny house with a spiral staircase to the master loft bedroom! It’s a 286-sq.-ft. tiny house on wheels that was built in 2018 by a family of five who design/build tiny homes together.

This unit was being used as an Airbnb vacation but it is now up for sale for $65,000 USD via Tiny Haven Spaces on the Tiny House Marketplace. What do you think?

This is the story of Madelyn and Caleb and their van that they imported from Japan. They spent two months renovating it, and hit the road! It’s a 1993 Toyota van that they completely refurbished inside-out. It has a happy and vintage look to it and I think they did a really nice job of personalizing it for themselves.

So far, they’ve been on the road for over 5 months and love it! They’re traveling with their cat and are enjoying a once in a lifetime experience they will likely cherish forever. You can follow them on @patchworkcanteen on Instagram! What do you think of their bus and lifestyle? Pretty awesome, isn’t it?

This is the story of Travis and Destoni’s school bus tiny home, online they are known as Sloth High Five (Instagram). Prior to embracing the bus life, they were deep in debt, working like crazy, and feeling like they were not making any forward progress. That’s when they decided to throw away the “rules” that they had been taught.

So they made some bold moves… They sold their home, took the equity and paid off their debt and used what was left over to buy and build out the school bus which cost them approximately $19,000. Now they get to travel quite a lot, and to make money, they simply stop in places they love and take seasonal jobs. This is what they’ve been doing for about a year, and so far, they absolutely love it. Be sure to watch the full video tour and interview with them below thanks to our friends over at the Tiny Home Tours YouTube Channel.

This is the story of Barbara Diaz and her micro cottage on wheels that she designed and built herself just a few years back. And believe it or not, it’s still not completely finished! Don’t we hear that a lot from many tiny housers?

It’s almost like a home is never really finished right? That’s probably because we’re always evolving and changing (and so is just about everything around us), so as everything changes, so do our needs, and therefore, so does our home! So anyway, here’s an update from Barbara and her micro cottage on wheels down in Florida (Okeechobee). Unfortunately, like many other tiny homeowners, Barbara ran into issues with parking when the RV park was sold, but she ultimately overcame the problem and found a new home in a nearby park.

This is a small loft apartment in Los Angeles, California. It looks like the perfect place for a visit to Hollywood, doesn’t it? Yes, it’s available via Airbnb.

I also really like the studio layout. If you’re interested in downsizing to a smaller space, but are not quite ready for a tiny house, a studio apartment like this could be a great transition. Have you ever considered a studio kind of like this? What’s your favorite city?
