Built in 1971, this a-frame has a flat-top, which creates a more heat-efficient space. But don’t worry, it doesn’t feel at all like a 70’s time warp when you walk inside!

Instead, Danielle and Ely have transformed the place, lovingly called “The Greenhouse,” into a boho-chic vacation property, nestled on three acres in the Catskill Mountains.

The place features three bedrooms, a completely decked-out kitchen, and two bathrooms with lovely subway tiles. You can book your stay over at Airbnb, or follow it on Instagram here.

Vanlife, like “normal” life, has changed since the pandemic, and Nate & Izzy built their unique campervan with COVID restrictions in mind. They made space for a shower and portable toilet just in case gyms close down again, and they went with a cool murphy bed set-up I haven’t yet seen in a van.

When the murphy bed is up, they have a bench space with a fold-down table for eating meals and working, and when it’s down they have a cozy spot to snuggly up and watch TV. They DIY-ed their countertops with a bunch of 1×2 lumber, and used a salad bowl from Amazon for their stylish sink.

And just to inspire you, Izzy and Nate had never built so much as a birdhouse before taking on this challenge! Check out a full tour of how they made it all work at the end of the post. Brought to us by Tiny Home Tours.

Crystal is a self-proclaimed introvert who prefers living on her own, so she jumped at the opportunity to put down roots in the “middle-of-nowhere” Alaska in her own dry tiny cabin.

She purchased her basic shell about four years ago, and has used reclaimed, thrifted, and gifted materials to transform the place into her happy home. During the past 9 months she’s been adding a loft to the space and creating a master bedroom. Her next project will be getting a shallow well so she can have running water.

Her simple life has made her grateful for the little things — like electricity which she lived without for a whole year! Watch her interview with Tiny Home Tours below.

Get your chance to check out all kinds of tiny living structures including THOWs, skoolies, van conversions and gyspy wagons at the Florida Tiny House Festival on November 21-22!

Social distancing guidelines will be in effect to promote safety, and while masks are not required, tiny home owners can deny entry to visitors who aren’t wearing one.

But besides home tours, there will be lots of workshops about everything from zoning to off-grid living, as well as great food, artisans and live music. Get all details at the Facebook Event here.

Want to attend an intensive workshop for building a THOW or Tiny House, or stay on site camping or in a tiny house? You can purchase tickets for an additional price for those add-ons here.

Price for the festival alone is FREE for children under 12 as well as Veterans, Badged-Law Enforcement, Active & Discharged Military, Firefighters, and On-Scene Emergency Front Line Responders with proof of status. It’s $15 for the weekend for everyone else if you buy before Nov 19th ($20 at the gate).

This is the story of Route Del Sol, an all-electric, solar-powered motorhome. This DIY motorhome build is very likely the most powerful solar-powered campervan in the world today and this is how it came to be.

Since that very first exchange with the ticket booth operator, I have grown much better at explaining just what it is I am driving. In the most technical way possible (for me) I exclaim that, this is a fully electric 2010 International EStar, it’s an ex-Pacific Gas & Electric owned cargo van converted into a DIY solar-powered electric campervan.”

This is one way you can get work done during van life using an outdoor stand up desk mounted on your van’s custom bumper. Yes, this is the story of a stand up desk mounted on the front bumper of this man’s van conversion!

This bumper happens to be an Aluminess van conversion specialty bumper, the adventurous mountain bike couple also use it to hang their hammocks, by the way. Plus the van lifer, @outsidenomad, is also using a FlexFixx balance board to make his stand up work session even better. Check it out below! And please, let us know what you think in the comments. I had never thought of this before and just think it’s awesome! How about you?

This is the TransMoto Van Conversion by Wilderness Vans. It’s definitely a one-of-a-kind custom van, but I’m pretty sure you can order one from them if you wanted to.

A used one recently sold for $99,000 USD earlier this year. It was a 2018 T350, 2wd, with 4700 miles. You can look at it below and if you like it enough, you can even have one ordered. See below for more info. It’s a nice adventure van with a garage that fits three dirt bikes! Plus inside, there’s seating for four (with seatbelts).

Society has a lot of opinions on what you should or shouldn’t be doing at 37, but Brynn has tossed all that aside and chased her dream of a nomadic and free lifestyle in her 2005 Sprinter van conversion.

She made the unique choice in her van to close off the garage, allowing her to create a unique set up for all her gear storage that doesn’t clutter up her main living space. Inside you’ll find gorgeous maple live-edge counter tops she epoxied, a ceiling mural she’s painting, and even an oven!

Her story is even more enchanting than her van, so be sure to watch the full interview with Tiny Home Tours below.
