This is a 1971 vintage Streamline Empress cottage in Bradenton, Florida with a pool, hot tub, slide, playground, and nearby beaches.
It’s available to book on Airbnb via Micah and Jana, and I think it would make a pretty amazing stay. In fact, I’m adding it to my wish list right now so I can stay here in the future. And while we’re on the topic, have you ever considered using an Airstream as a stationary tiny home, kind of like in this situation? Let us know your thoughts about that idea in the comments, please.

While New York City is packed with tiny apartments, one doesn’t exactly expect to see tiny houses in the Big Apple. But Cracker Barrel changed that — they had Modern Tiny Living build an awesome 269 square foot tiny restaurant!
Now busy urbanites can take a trip to the country store, or sit down for some family-style cooking. It was first unveiled at the Macy’s Day Parade of 2019.
Enjoy the pictures and the promotional video below, and hey, maybe this gives you some ideas on how to open a tiny restaurant of your own.

Shawn and Jess have been living tiny now for more than four years in an RV, and they recently finished this tiny house on a foundation where they will vacation and plan to retire someday!
This is a great example of a new shed transformed into a tiny living space. They purchased the shell from Tuff Shed and then Shawn built out the entire interior of the home. It has two lofts, a large main living area, and a bathroom/kitchen in the back. While the indoor kitchen is quite minimal, there’s a large outdoor patio area with a grill and more.
Watch the video tour below, and enjoy our Q&A with Jess after the photos!

Now this is a tiny house that really checks all the boxes — there’s even the oft-coveted downstairs bedroom, completely separated from the main living area! It’s built by Tiny Heavens in Vancouver, Washington — a new tiny house builder with tons of promise. It definitely impresses!
The kitchen area features stunning butcher block countertops and a live-edge oak bartop, as well as a full-sized range and large refrigerator. Plenty of counter space! In the bathroom there’s a spacious standing shower, flush toilet and room for a washer/dryer. Kids or guests can go to bed in the loft over the bathroom, accessible via staircase.
The main bedroom is on the other side of the house, filled with windows! Just in front of it is the living space, which can easily fit a cozy couch and entertainment center. They’re asking $99,143 for the home, and you can contact them with questions or offers here.

If you do happen to own land, and are in an Airbnb-friendly area, it might be worth it to create a skoolie for family vacations and as a way to make extra income! As a kid, we always vacationed in a camper (which was much cheaper than renting hotel rooms) and it’s great to see this family is getting that same fun with their kids.
But instead of having the skoolie they worked so hard on sit empty for months on end, they have it up on Airbnb (click here to see it) for others to enjoy. How fun! And if they ever needed to sell their home or downsize, they have a functional tiny house right in their yard!
The 40-foot bus has a spacious Master living area, a comfortable-sized skoolie bathroom complete with a shower and tiny tub, and a fun living room space that transforms into a giant bed for the kids. Take a video tour with Tiny Home Tours below.

When he lived in Japan, Joe lived the #vanlife, travelling around the country. So tiny living is nothing new to him. When he wanted a spot to live in the States, he ended up choosing 36ft, 1982 Ed Munk offshore yacht — named Toko — which he has lived on for the past year.
As a Navy Serviceman, he knew a lot about large boats and the rules of sea, but he’s learned a lot since making a smaller boat his home sweet home. For the most part, he stays close to land for his job, but he can pick up and sail away for a day or a week whenever he’d like! Now that’s a cool life.
Be sure to watch the video of the interior of boat below, where he has two bedrooms, a salon, head and galley with a pretty large fridge/freezer! Thanks Tiny Home Tours! Follow Joe on Instagram here.

Did you see the historically-accurate Viking hut we featured earlier this week? When I came across this Mayan Coba Hut in Tulum, Mexico, it was remarkable to me to see the similarities in the building style — the thatch roof, the a-frame design — just goes to show you that great tiny building transcends time, geography and cultures!
This hut in the jungle is an awesome vacation spot, where you can sleep in a queen bed while listening to nature sounds all around. There’s an outdoor bathroom area walled in by trees, including a magical shower. The hut is run 100% on solar power, and there’s even WiFi!
You can book your stay over at Airbnb.
