I love the way people use all kinds of tiny spaces to create homes, and toy hauler conversions are no exception. This industrial tiny house on wheels fits in all the necessary amenities and there’s no loft! Bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living space all on one floor. Plus the vehicle is street legal in all 50 states, and easily towed by a 1/2 ton truck.
A small couch could easily fit in the living space for a nice area to relax, and the kitchen has a cooktop and convection oven that can be stored during transit. The bathroom has a large metal shower and a flush toilet, and there’s a downstairs Murphy bed you can push up to allow room for bikes and other small toys.
It’s currently for sale in North Carolina for $27,500, and you can contact the seller over at Tiny House Marketplace.

This is Jana, and she and her cat, Louis, are travelling the country in her DIY converted ambulance, dubbed the “Janbulance.”
After living on St. Thomas island for 7 years as a teacher and aerial yoga instructor, she worked five jobs to save up and then asked for a year off from work, bought an ambulance on Ebay, and transformed it into her home! Amazing, Jana!
Her home on wheels includes a gorgeous shower stall, a hidden potty, and two marble-esque epoxy countertops she DIYed. Keep an eye out for her Pepsi-crate drawers. Watch her video interview with Tiny Home Tours below to hear all her tips on travelling as a solo female. Follow her on Instagram here.

This is a post just to show that tiny living really isn’t anything new! This Canadian couple who helps set up a Viking Village attraction most summers decided to build their very own historically accurate Viking hut in their backyard when the festival was canceled due to the pandemic.
The tiny structure has mud walls and a thatch roof, and while they used modern nails, Pedro (who built the structure) is actually a blacksmith who could have forged authentic ones had he wanted to take the time to do so.
Pedro and his wife have spent a few nights in the hut, although they (understandably), don’t live in it full-time. Read more of their story here.

We see plenty of comments from people new to the tiny house movement, who wonder what’s so different about living in a tiny house instead of the tiny apartments they’re accustomed to. This article by Monica Humphries explains it so well! While small spaces have always been around, they aren’t all designed well to maximize space and efficiency.
A well-designed tiny house, like the BOHO model by ESCAPE that Monica stayed in at Think Big! Tiny House Resort in South Cairo, New York, doesn’t leave any space underutilized, and that makes all the difference! Monica also mentioned that the large windows and nature views added to the peace and comfort of the tiny house.
Even though her NYC apartment is about 500 square feet (shared with a roommate), in the end Monica said she could see herself living in just 110 square feet by herself quite easily. Read the full story at Insider.

This tiny cabin has so much character, I had to share it with you even though I’m not quite sure the logistics of transporting this whole cabin to a new spot! (That said, it can be done according to this article).
The one-room tiny house has a lofted bedroom, old-fashioned black pipe wood-burning stove, and was built from 125-year-old barnwood. There’s also a covered deck on the outside which extends your living space in warmer weather — you could even screen it in!
It’s for sale in North Carolina and they’re asking $12,000. You can contact the seller here.

Meet “This Little Den” — a family of 7 (mom, dad, 4 boys and a baby girl) that’s living in an RV while renting land on a friend’s property in Florida. Just before finding out about baby #5, they decided not to re-up their apartment lease or look for a new one. Instead, they voluntarily moved into a tent! Now they’ve been tiny living for two years.
Soon they added Vinney the Van, and then they came across this awesome RV and decided to upgrade for a bit more space. By downsizing they’ve learned what they really need, and get way more time together as a family — which is what it’s all about, right?
The biggest trial of having 5 littles in an RV is laundry, but they’re managing via the laundromat and generous friends/family nearby. We got to interview mom, Chelsea, so be sure to read the Q&A at the end of the post. Follow the family on Instagram here.

If you’re looking for that trendy farmhouse feel in a stunning tiny house on wheels, look no further than this 28 foot beauty, complete with two extra large lofts and a spacious center kitchen.
I really love the large living room area with picture windows on three sides — it designates a clear spot for family hang-out time and has a projector screen installed! The bathroom also includes a washer and dryer unit, which means no laundromat runs.
The kitchen has everything minus an oven, but the existing owners have an instant pot, electric hot plate and convection oven in addition to their refrigerator. The home is listed on Tiny House Marketplace here for sale for $95,000.

Bryce and Misty paid off their debts, left the city, and have spent the last 12 years building a cob home by hand on their off-grid homestead. The house cost approximately $1,000 CAD to build using clay from their property, wood harvested within 20km of home, and secondhand windows and roofing. They live without a car, homeschool their two daughters, and produce most of their own food from a permaculture food forest, animals, and foraged crops.
