Murphy beds are such an awesome way to save space in a tiny house and not need a loft bedroom! You don’t have to make a bed every day (just fold it away!) but there are no ladders or stairs needed. This Baja Surf Shack makes use of the Murphy bed, as well as a “Murphy deck” that unfolds when you arrive at your destination.
There’s also a kitchen and bathroom in the set-up, and a “flex loft” which you can use for storage (or guests) if you would like. It’s for sale over at Tiny House Marketplace for $90,000.

The Oaks is the second phase of the ESCAPE Tampa Bay Tiny House Village in Thonotosassa, Florida. This expansion added 23 new tiny home lots to the community, featuring three distinct neighborhoods: The Village (the original phase, now sold out), Palm Court, and The Oaks central area with mature Live Oak trees. Residents purchase ESCAPE tiny homes and lease their lots, creating a long-term residential community rather than a vacation rental property.

This is a 128-sq.-ft. tiny house built by a hobby carpenter while he lived in Maine. It’s now in New York and the seller’s lifestyle is changing so he’s selling his tiny house.
It has a loft bedroom, and a kitchen and bathroom under it. There’s a little sink, a shower stall, and it’s plumbed for a toilet but the seller used a composting one instead.
You can contact the seller over at Tiny House Marketplace here.

Gaetan, a former contractor, was hit with cancer last year and decided to build a tiny house while going through chemo treatments. The end result is a beautiful 22 by 8 foot tiny house, complete with two lofts, a kitchen and bathroom, and living space.
It has a staircase to one loft, and an awesome collapsible ladder up to the other loft. There’s also a fold-down table for mealtime. It runs off electric and the workmanship looks amazing. He’s asking $55K (CAD) for the house. You can contact him via his Facebook page here.

Homelessness is a problem in every city in the country, and many times when we see tiny homes we think, “We need more of these for the homeless!” Community First! Village in Austin, Texas took that idea and brought it to life, with 51 acres of property with more than 500 homes for the chronically homeless.
But they’ve gone beyond just building houses — they’ve built a community. Residents find family and friends at the village, as well as work on the premises. There’s an art house, automotive shop, forge, organic garden and so much more designed to give the neighbors at the community purpose. The FAQ page answers tons of questions about the village here.
One of the ways they get revenue for the park is through some tiny house rentals where anyone can stay during a visit to Austin! Check that out here.

Antoinette loves to travel and had been living abroad in Spain since 2013. She even started an international travel abroad company for minority teens and young adults. But then 2020 happened and she had to go back to the States.
Once back “home,” she decided to jump into #vanlife, even though she said it wasn’t really a “thing” the black community did. But now she’s an inspiration for other black women who want to travel solo in a van. She had a professional company design and outfit her van, and it’s awesome!
Check out her gorgeous epoxy shower stall, super-comfy couch seating, and lovely kitchen in the Tiny Home Tours interview below!
