Sonny reached out to us to show off the amazing DIY THOW he built, paying cash as he had it. He got derailed after about a year and a half of building because he had a heart attack — but after recovery, he pushed on. While Sonny says he’ll never really be “done” with the project, it’s looking great.

In his 160 sq. ft. space he fit a kitchen, bathroom, living room, and loft bedroom. He has an illuminated staircase, gas fireplace, and another storage loft over his deck. What do you think of this tiny home?

Since she was young, Jenn has always been hustling — working multiple jobs and rarely slowing down. She became the CEO of a chain of her own salons right as March 2020 shut down Chicago for three months. With all that time to finally stop and reflect, Jenn realized she was ready to pivot.

Most people didn’t expect a successful businesswoman to jump into #vanlife, but Jenn didn’t care! She’s able to travel to her different salons and do conferences while bringing her home with her. The “soft and sweet” vibe inside her van gave her a safe place when “the world was on fire.”

Jaqueline was just about to purchase a home in Austin when 2020 hit and the market started going a bit wild. She decided instead of buying, she would rent, but she wanted something that was more of her own — and didn’t want to share walls anymore.

She ended up getting an Instagram ad for Casata Tiny House Community and looked into it. It gave her the chance to try out tiny house living with a longer-term commitment before she decides if she wants to purchase her own! What do you think?

Are you looking for weekend adventures but not in the mood to set up tents but also don’t have the space to store an RV? That’s where the father-and-son duo that came up with the idea for the Hitch Hotel found themselves a few years ago. And they decided to do something about it.

The Hitch Hotel was once a Kickstarter, but is now ready for preorder, with delivery between February 1 and March 15, 2023. The camper collapses to under 4 feet long — making it easy to store — and expands to over 7 ft to provide ample room for sleeping. What do you think?

Michele and Sue have always loved tiny homes, but they weren’t quite sure how to make one work. While living in Panama during the lockdowns of 2020, they realized they wanted to be Stateside again, and after some late-night YouTube searching, Sue came across Tiny Tranquility and knew it was the perfect fit. The couple then worked with a builder to design their ideal home, choosing a floor plan with a large bathroom, a spacious kitchen, and a downstairs bedroom — where a Murphy bed lets them convert the space into an office whenever they need it. What do you think?

Paul was working in corporate sales and found himself less and less satisfied with life. When he came across van life online, he was inspired! He bought the van and spent two years converting it while he was still working. He moved in right before March 2020 planning to teach yoga.

While solo travel during the lockdowns was definitely challenging, Paul didn’t give up! Eventually he even bought a short bus and converted it to better suit his needs. Check out the pictures below and enjoy the Q&A with Paul below.

Back in 2016/17 Corinne sold her law practice and her home, commissioned a tiny house build, and moved across the country to Park Delta Bay in California. For $800/month she has a lovely lot within a great community and is enjoying her retirement.

Her home does have a loft, but in order to meet her mobility needs, the loft has extra headroom and a specialized staircase with a heavy-duty railing. Corinne had a number of special and sentimental furniture pieces that she had incorporated into her home to make it truly hers. Enjoy the tour!

Here’s an affordable and loft-free tiny home that’s for sale in Ontario. The 25 ft THOW has a cozy back bedroom. When you walk through the archway you’ll find a mini woodstove, desk/office space, and a compact kitchen with an RV range and apartment-sized fridge.

There’s a bathroom on the other end of the THOW, with a DIY composting toilet and a galvanized steel shower. The home features plaster-like walls that add a lot of character. Check it out!

Heidi did all the “right” things — got a college degree, got a job, worked hard. But she realized she hadn’t seen much of her city, let alone the country. So she took an entire year off work to work every day on converting her bus into an awesome skoolie!

Her tiny home meets all her needs and is decorated with her own awesome, eclectic style. She has a full bathroom with a DIY composting toilet, a comfy couch that converts to her office space, and a hammock swing that hangs out the handicap door. What do you think?
