Abi & Ethan are an adorable couple who were tired of spending so much money on rent. Abi had always dreamed of living tiny, but it took rising rent costs to convince Ethan it was a good idea. Once he agreed, they found a bus just two weeks later and started the process!
As students, they’ve kept the bus close to campus and enjoy not having a commute. Since the video was taken, they’ve gotten a job offer to move across the country — and they are having a baby any day now — so they plan to sell the bus once they settle in a new city.

When you have 34 feet and a full 10-foot width to work with on a gooseneck trailer, the design possibilities expand dramatically. This custom build by MitchCraft Tiny Homes (now Snake River Tiny Homes) for their client Clay demonstrates what happens when a builder takes full advantage of that extra square footage: a home that feels genuinely livable rather than cramped, with room for a full soaking tub, a U-shaped kitchen with a dishwasher, a walk-in closet in the gooseneck bedroom, and — the feature that makes this house truly one-of-a-kind — a dedicated cat loft accessible through a hidden cabinet door.
At 340 square feet on the main level plus the gooseneck loft bedroom, this THOW blurs the line between tiny house and small home. The design leans modern with sleek finishes, a striking contrast between white walls and dark ceilings, and bold blue accents that carry from the front door all the way through to the bathroom. It’s a build that proves tiny houses can be both stylish and genuinely pet-friendly.

Amanda is a flight attendant who heard about van life years ago, but when she was looking for an apartment in the chaos of 2020, she decided she’d rather put the money into a van and enjoy the changing scenery. She bought her rig second-hand and hasn’t looked back!

Jesse is a therapist who works with clients of all ages and spends a lot of time doing telehealth appointments. She wanted to try out homeownership, but was nervous to do it with a big mortgage. So when a friend was selling their tiny house, she thought it would be the perfect “trial run” and she could pay it off in just four years.
Her second-hand THOW is a wonderful, homey space that largely consists of a big galley kitchen with lots of storage. She has a loft bedroom over the gooseneck that she can stand up in, as well as a guest loft with storage steps. Her living room has a cozy couch, and she installed a residential toilet and soaking tub in her bathroom after purchasing the tiny home.
