VanGo Outfitters is a van conversion company in the United Kingdom. Max says it all started when he lived in Australia, where he got a job building out vans for a company in Sydney. He had previously worked as a boat builder for Princess Yachts while on his placement year, in which he studied product design.

His company has been operational for 2.5 years, and Max is hoping to have a series of customizable floor plans as well as a fleet of rentals. To date, they’ve done around 20 van conversions! Below you’ll see one they completed a few months ago, that includes a queen bed and a convertible child’s bed, as well as an indoor shower.

The last time we checked in with Holly and Matt, they were about 3 months into an amazing van conversion for their family of 4. While the interior was coming together, they’d still be working for another 6 months before they moved in and hit the road. Incredibly, they completed the entire build for just £15.5K (~$19.6K USD) — and it’s so beautiful.

Now they’ve been on the road for nearly a year, and they’re loving vanlife! Be sure to read our interview with them below and find out how they all sleep, what their plans are for the future, and about their epic solar set-up.

When Katya lost her job in 2020, she used her stimulus checks on something tremendous—a budget van conversion! She and her brother spent five weeks working hard to transform this camper van into a home-on-wheels.

About six months ago, she decided to hit the road full-time in her rig, and she’s been loving the nomadic lifestyle. Her build is simple—there’s no fridge or bathroom—but it works for her! And she only spent $10K on the entire thing!

In 2020, Anton built out a van conversion, mainly because some of his best friends were jumping into van life, and “you are who your friends are.” Three years ago, he couldn’t even hang a picture, but you’d never know based on the incredible job he did with his custom van conversion.

He chose bamboo for the interior, and while the wood alone cost nearly $6K, it leaves the van with such a professional finish! Anton is a music teacher and now builds luxury vans on the side. Enjoy his incredible van tour below!

Abby’s love for an adventurous lifestyle led her to convert her own van! She fit a bike, paddleboard, camping gear, and tools under her bed, so she can enjoy the outdoors. Her conversion was a DIY build, that cost her $37,000. She used plenty of reclaimed materials to keep costs down, but the van’s aesthetic isn’t compromised by her frugality!

She has a fixed queen-sized bed in the back of her van, and a workspace in the front where she does her full-time marketing work. Her kitchen has a sink made from an industrial coffee pot, and a two-burner propane cooktop. Enjoy her energy and excitement for life in the video below.

Their van, named “Betty” has gotten a total overhaul, including a much larger kitchen so cooking on the road is easier. Dan was ready to take his love for outdoor adventure to the next level and decided on this awesome custom-built adventure rig! He has tons of lights, a 4×4 dually set up, and solar panels on his rooftop deck that he can point toward the sunshine.

The interior of the rig is just as sleek as the outside. He has clean lines in his galley kitchen and yes, this van has a small but mighty bathroom! He chose a convertible set-up for the back of the van, where he could hang out with friends during the day before making it into a bed at night. What do you think?
