Personally, I think this sculptural home looks like a dragon, but the Airbnb description says this 70s build was a “giant seashell unicorn” which is equally magical. Designed by two architecture students, it was largely abandoned until someone bought the home in 2017 and restored it to its former glory.

Sitting among the trees in Austin, Texas, this unique “Bloomhouse” features a main bedroom, a second-floor sitting area, and a full kitchen. The interior feels much like living inside a giant coral reef! Coming in at 1100 square feet, it’s more of a “small” dwelling.

Looking for a unique home style? This Owl Hill House was built by artists in the 1980s and has a funky, sculptural feel. The furniture is all built into the walls and gives you a cozy Hobbit-like spot to vacation.

There’s a bed, full kitchen, and bathroom, as well as a cozy round living space with a wood-burning stove. While the Airbnb listing doesn’t mention it, this looks like a cob home with plaster walls!

Meet Amber and Eli who spent the last four years working on their DIY school bus conversion! They spent one year living in the bus largely unfinished and have finally completed the build and are on a four-month travel stint. When they aren’t on the road, they live stationary at a bus dealership where they work.

They prioritized their kitchen and bathroom above all, and have oodles of counter space, a large stainless sink, a separate fridge, and an extra freezer, and they spared no expense in their shower! Glass tiles, exposed copper pipes, and a glass bowl sink give their shower a spa-like feel.

This 350 square foot a-frame in trees is dubbed the “Skyframe” and gets its name because it stands on stilts and makes you feel like you’re in a magical treehouse with views of the surrounding forest.

Despite the obstacle that is plumbing a treehouse, the A-frame features a luxurious bathroom inside with a tiled shower and epic bowl vanity. There’s also a full kitchen, seating area, and two queen beds — one in the loft and one in a first-floor bedroom.

This is the Buttercup, the latest iteration of the Kokosing model built by Modern Tiny Living. This model features a full kitchen, full bath, sleeping loft, high-top work/eat nook, and swiss-army-knife social area that can become an additional bed or lounge area.

The name comes from the soft, yellow color the clients chose for the exterior of their home. Inside, they kept things quite neutral, with white walls and natural wood trim. What’s your favorite part of this tiny house?

Drew came to Glampervan a few years ago to help create amazing custom rigs for others. He realized rather quickly that it didn’t make sense to pay for an apartment in the Bay Area when he was spending all his time building vans, so he soon moved into one himself!

He has moved up the ranks and is now the owner and CEO of Glampervan, and he shows off his awesome rig below. This model has a great kitchen, Lagoon swivel table, and a half-murphy bed that allows for a number of cool layouts depending on your needs from day to day.

Andrea and Jacob lost their field of work in 2020, and were feeling isolated with all the travel bans. The Swedish couple decided a van would be a great way to save on rent and be able to see more of Europe.

Their original plan was to do a quick budget build, but they ultimately decided to take it slow and do it right the first time, and the results are stunning! They’ve been traveling ever since while Jacob gets a degree and Andrea works a number of side gigs to keep her income streams diverse. We got to interview Andrea below, so be sure to check that out!
