When Ashley lost her job, renting her 1,300-square-foot home no longer made sense. She knew she wanted to own something but didn’t know where she wanted to put down roots. “What if I had a house that could move?” she asked herself. And that’s how she ended up with a $34.5K tiny house on wheels!
When she purchased it, her budget buy was rather empty and uninteresting—so much so that instead of feeling overjoyed when she first walked in, she felt a bit scared. But now that she’s had time to decorate and build it out—including a “catio” for her three cats—she absolutely loves her little home. Enjoy the tour!

Like so many others, Elizabeth joined vanlife because of the shutdowns of 2020. When she stumbled across vanlife on YouTube, she was hooked!
Through a series of events, she ended up purchasing a short bus and converting it into her own home on wheels. She has a remote job and is able to travel while living in her adorable bus named Wanda. The Catskill Domeo is a fun little dome home in a backyard in Hensonville, New York that has been decked out with birch/bear decor to make it truly feel like a forest escape. While the house is more or less a tent, there’s running water, a composting toilet indoors, and heat/AC to keep the temperature comfortable.
The little dome sits in the far corner of the yard where a grill and patio table provide outdoor living space. Indoors you can sleep in the queen bed downstairs, or up in the loft on a fold-out bed (if you are bringing more people). What a fun little cottage!

When it comes to architecture, there’s just something magical about a round-ish structure. In the case of this octagonal yurt-style home, the cathedral ceilings and circular floor have amazing acoustics, this Airbnb host calls it a “sound healing temple.”
And the temple lacks nothing! There’s a full bathroom, a full kitchen, multiple futon beds to sleep on, and a wood-burning stove. If the weather is nice, you can enjoy the fire-pit outdoors. Plus the musical instruments inside the yurt give you a chance to enjoy sound healing during your stay. What do you think?

This Japanese-inspired tiny house on wheels was custom-built for a Baluchon client who needs a home to travel with him for work around the United Kingdom. He loves Japanese architecture and the Bonzai Tiny House reflects that with a curved roof, red and black accents, and a screen door.
The home is just under 15 feet long to make it lightweight and easy to tow for travel. Even with that short height, the home has no loft, but rather a pull-out bed mat that lies on top of the living room floor at night. The kitchen is elevated to allow for lots of drawer storage underneath, and the wet bathroom is open to the rest of the home to keep the space from feeling claustrophobic.
