His Full Time Tiny House with a Home Office

The Milanda by Baluchon was designed for Philippe, who works remotely and needed a dedicated home office in his full-time tiny house. The solution: a desk tucked under the staircase and separated from the living space by a wooden partition. The rest of the home includes a loft bedroom with two huge windows, a yellow convertible couch that becomes a guest bed, a kitchen with a 4-burner stove/oven, and a bathroom with a composting toilet and sleek black shower stall.

Kitchen with 4-Burner Stove and Flip-Up Table

The kitchen has a 4-burner stove with oven, a mini fridge, and a flip-up table that extends in two sections for dining. A wardrobe/pantry provides additional storage, and a Cubic Mini wood stove keeps the whole place cozy.

Living Area with Convertible Couch

A yellow couch sits across from sliding doors and converts into a guest bed when needed. The under-staircase office is visible from here, separated by a wooden partition that creates a sense of a distinct workspace without closing off the room.

Home Office Under the Staircase

This is the standout feature. The desk is tucked neatly under the staircase, and a wooden partition separates the work zone from the rest of the home. It is a simple, clever solution for anyone who needs to work from home in a tiny house without dedicating an entire room to it.

As I say when I see virtually any/every Baluchon THOW: I love this; no other builder can be as inventive with 20’ as Baluchon can; I would move in tomorrow. This cutie is no exception!

I like it but… why the stove up in the air with what appears to be a fake pull out supporting it?? Doesn’t make sense… well to me anyway.
