This is the Little Gingerbread Cottage out of Point Roberts, Washington. It’s a beautiful little small cabin with an upstairs balcony that I just love!
Inside, it’s beautifully decorated and surrounded by cedar. The property is connected to Lily Point Park which is a 250 acre marine park with trails and a beach.
According to Airbnb, the area is home to bald eagles, ravens, and herons.

How Do You Like This Little Home? Would You Build Something Similar To It?
Seems like such a cozy place to stay, doesn’t it? I wouldn’t mind building a cabin like this to live in, I would just like to implement a larger kitchen.
I do love how they hung the pots and pans though! Hanging pots are a great way to save space and increase utility in your kitchen because it makes managing and getting to your pots easy.
So what do you think? Could you see yourself building and living in a little cottage/cabin like this one someday?

Very inviting. Yes I could live here and enjoy it very much.
I like how the kitchen is in front of the staircase, I too would wnat a little more kitchen but I could make this work.
Nice
Very nice. I could live here. Kitchen is small enough for me.
I love this tiny cottage! It is inviting and so comfortable looking. I keep looking at THOWs but I have to admit, if I had land for a THOW, I would much prefer to use it for a teensy cottage like this one…..Its the stairs. And the high ceiling in the bedroom, I admit to nearly 70, so trucking a THOW at will no longer appeals, as well as ladders and steep storage stairs. This little guy is right up there for me!!
Every one should look up Port Roberts WA. It is a most unique place to live in the US, surrounded by water and Canadians! It is I believe the only City that can only be reached on land by crossing the border. ; )
This is wonderful! Such lovely detailing, and it’s cozy, yet it has everything I’d need, even a work space. But I agree that its exterior is not very Gingerbread. Looks more rustic than anything else. But still a winner. I wonder how much it cost to build…?
For a vacation cabin it would be lovely, but not to live in. It is just too small.
I like this a lot. It doesn’t look cramped and I really don’t see that many tiny houses that aren’t on wheels. I really don’t want to travel around towing my house in my retirement years. I want a tiny house that’s about 500Sq.ft. or less. Could you please, please let me in on some hint about how much this was to build?
Love this!!! Agree with it being bumped out to the side, more, to get a little bigger kitchen and it would spread the deck out a little more, also. Win-win.
Any hope of someone sharing the plans or the plans being available to buy?
I would NOT want stairs that formed part of the wall area of the kitchen. Don’t want detritus dropping onto bench, or heaven forbid my food.
Apart from that, quite a quaint little cottage. Could live with it, without the stairs issue with the kitchen.
I’ve asked where the bathroom is for this layout. You can’t see anything to the right of the “kitchen” area which is where I’m assuming the bathroom must be. Could you provide a couple pictures perhaps? Also how much did this cost to build?
Dave
Really just an inside and outside picture of the bathroom would be very helpful. I want to build one of these on the lot I’m picking out in the north Georgia mountains.
Thanks so much,
Dave
Bathroom is to the right of the kitchen and no you can’t really see it from the pictures here. A bit more is revealed on AirBnB site
