    I’m sure these tiny houses are high quality, but…my objection is that they look like big crates. I don’t want to live in a crate. I want a peaked roof, at least. I want charm. So I wouldn’t buy one of these. Just saying.

      They’re not all like that, even this short sampling of 9 has 2 with gable/peaked roofs. Just no overhang/awning. Most of these are just limited by road legal dimensions but while common, there are some that follow more regular house designs.

      There’s just always trade offs and traditional house designs are usually less efficient in use of space. So that impacts the interior living space and why that’s usually done in the bit larger range small size homes, ADUs, etc.

      Though, there’s leeway for those who can modify at their location or configure for a modular design…
