This is Julien and Cindy’s incredible Château Peredvizhnik, which Baluchon (@tinyhousebaluchon), a tiny house builder in France, built for them.
The most notable feature of this home is the large picture window in the back of the THOW that follows the roof’s pitch and lets in oodles of natural light. The sage green color painted around the window on the interior makes it feel one with nature outside.
Another neat part of this house? It has a projector screen that pulls from a hatch in the loft bedroom floor! Enjoy the photo tour below.

A Look Inside the Château Peredvizhnik by Baluchon
This window is definitely the focal feature of the entire home.
I just love the little book display they added in here.
The bank of windows in the kitchen is great for allowing in more light.
I’ve always wanted one of these drawers! How handy is that!?
The kitchen has a remarkable amount of counter space for a tiny house!
The couch here turns into a guest bed!
Pull out the drawers and…
Good night! Super handy thing to include.
Upstairs the loft bedroom is clean and simple, with a fun gable roof accent.
Here’s that projector screen I mentioned! So cool.
This is the secret hatch it comes out of.
And then there are some drawers here for more storage (and a cute squirrel stuffie, of course).
The bathroom features a dry toilet, shower, and twin wardrobes.
Look at the precision and how well made this all is!
Could you call this one home?

Very nice. I love all the windows and the green around the big window really does seem to bring the outside in! The hidden screen is genius! The only thing I would like different is a small sink in the bathroom.
Yes I agree. I thought it could use a second sink.
What is that black plank between the couch and dinning table? There are two thing I would change in this house. The toilet and the movie screen. Also it needs a mini split for cool and heat. Other wise it is a beautiful home.
You know, I wondered the same thing but I couldn’t find any information on the website or Facebook!
It’s extra bench seating to allow up to 4 people to use the dining table, otherwise limited to 2 or using the day/convertible bed/bench…
I noticed that virtually every Bauchelon house over the years has a wood stove of one size or another for winter heating, except this one as far as I can see. I was thinking the black “thing” on the wall is possibly a type of ceramic electric heater. If the wall piece were pulled down it would actually only seat one more person at the table, and the remaining part of such a bench would stick out uselessly into the middle of the room.My thoughts! : )
@Kathy – Not with the table rotated…
Big windows to widen a small space however blinds for privacy are missing.
French love to eat and this kitchen is made for cooking, really sufficient counter space in comparison to American built ones.
I don’t like lofts at all so the screen isn’t exiting but I agree with Maria about a sink for the bathroom.
Otherwise well thought.
The designer in this company has an elegant sense of style and form. Clean lines are NECESSARY when you are in a cell sized living container. The 1st generation of DIY tiny homes were designed by hobbits on crack. Every single thought yielded another item in the house. No good.
THIS is good.
I agree that I love this designer. Also I’m crying laughing at “hobbits on crack” LOL
