Coming in at 280-square feet, the Honeycrisp Cottage in Southern Vermont is a dreamy energy-efficient getaway, and a tiny house design worth bookmarking for your future build!

This home (@honeycrisp_cottage on Instagram) would make a perfect granny flat because of the open floor plan and downstairs bedroom, but really anyone interested in going tiny could enjoy this space! The Airbnb hosts designed the home themselves and included a floorplan (you can see below). They hired out some work and DIYed the rest, and the total cost to build was around $75,000. Book your stay on Airbnb!

Meet Boxabl: A steel and concrete 375 square foot pre-fab home that literally unfolds upon arrival at your location! It’s basically an instant-house with everything you could possibly need in a small house.

The main living space is completely open with a large kitchen packed with full-sized appliances, a bedroom area with room for a queen, and a family room that can comfortably fit a normal couch. You’ll also notice there are no stairs or ladders in this contemporary marvel, making it a great place for retirees. It even has an ADA-compliant version!

There is, of course, a bathroom — with a full-sized bath/shower and a flushing toilet. It get’s better though: In the future they plan to create more Boxabls that can connect, so if you have another child or your life situation changes, you can stack vertically or connect horizontally with more rooms.

But the coolest part of this? It’s only $49,500 or $250/month. I rarely see anything this innovative and modern for such a reasonable price. But what do you think? You can reserve one here!

Colorado Mountain Retreat Tiny House on Wheels

What a cute tiny home mountain retreat for your next vacation (which is hopefully soon!). If you are thinking about buying a tiny house on wheels, I highly recommend staying a few nights (or a whole week!) in one to get an idea of what it’d really be like.

Of course, living in a space is much different than staying for a short time, but this is a very standard compact THOW that would help you get your feet wet. It sleeps up to three, has heating and air conditioning and is fully stocked with linens and towels. There is a grill outside as well as a community hot tub. And you can’t beat the views!

Book your stay at GlampingHub!

Tiniest Yurt Cabin Flagstaff Arizona

This itty bitty yurt is just one room with space for a twin-sized sleeping pad, couple of chairs and a wood-burning stove. Not much to look at, which reminded me a lot of Thoreau’s little cabin in the woods.

This yurt is in Flagstaff, Arizona on a campground: There’s a Main Lodge nearby with toilet and shower facilities, and you’ll have a exterior picnic table and grill to make food. Thinking camping, but they provide the tent (yurt) — with a bonus wood-burning stove!

Book your stay in this baby yurt over at Glamping Hub.

There are two decks on the cabin — one at ground level and one on stilts that makes it feel like your drinking morning coffee in the tree tops. Need to relax in the evening? Hop in the outdoor hot tub. If you plan a winter stay, you can come inside and snuggle around the fireplace. Book your stay on Glamping Hub!

Confessions: I think yurts are the coolest alternative dwelling option, and this yurt on stilts in Montana may be one of the most fantastic yurts I’ve seen!

While the yurt itself is lovely inside and out, it’s the giant wrap-around, two-level porch with a grill and fire pit that really make this place special.

Inside there are two bedrooms, a luxurious bathroom, and a full kitchen with everything you need to do some cooking during your stay. You can book your trip to this magical getaway via Airbnb.

Now isn’t this a dream? A little log cabin on 6.5 acres with mountain views!

This cozy cabin is currently for sale in Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire for $275,000 and it’s about as lovely as it gets. The home has a fireplace, woodstove, and electric baseboard heating (you won’t be cold!), and there’s an enclosed porch for enjoying coffee each morning.

With two beds and one bath, it’s certainly not a tiny space, but a simple space where you can get back to nature. Get more information from Verani Realty.
