It took two years of weekend-warrior-ing, but at long last this military family has an amazing school bus conversion to call home! The husband is Active Duty Coast Guard, and as a mechanic was certain he could fix any mechanical issues that come up with the vehicle. But constructing the interior (where nothing is square), was a whole new adventure.
His wife and two young daughters can now easily travel with him wherever the Coast Guard calls, and the bus is perfectly designed to give the girls their own awesome spaces that will grow with them. The almost-circular kitchen is totally different than what we usually see, as well!
I love seeing people think outside the box. Enjoy the tour!

Just before the pandemic hit, Annie and her boyfriend split and she moved out and onto a new adventure. She chose a tiny van and built it out with a slat bed and hit the road! While she knew she enjoyed the nomadic life, she decided to upgrade to a more spacious truck camper with a bump out and a wet bath.
She completely remodeled her current rig, bringing it into 2021 style and making it fit her lifestyle. Annie’s constant companion is her dog, named Bear, and they are chasing good weather across the country. Her tech job is forever-remote now, so she does the 9-5 from “home” and then explores when she’s off duty. Awesome!

Here’s something different: A tent erected atop a large covered porch, complete with a twisty slide to the fire pit and picnic table below!
This is, of course, no normal tent. The canvas structure is held up by beautiful wooden beams, and there’s a queen-sized bed and kids’ cot bunks inside meaning no one has to sleep on the floor. It’s off-grid, with a cooler, water bubbler and solar lights, giving you an excellent glamping experience.

Architect Matthieu Torres and his partner were looking for an affordable place to live in Paris, but all they could find was a dingy, dated apartment. Yet, they saw the potential!
They removed the walls and drop ceiling, added skylights and a bathroom, and created a spacious kitchen where they could cook together. His girlfriend’s family worktable has become a perfect spot for entertaining.

Now this looks like a cozy spot to stay in rural New York! The yurt treehouse sits on 27 acres, and is packed with a library that’s sure to make any bibliophile happy. You’ll feel like a wise old owl, curled up in a comfy chair reading a great book with woodland views.
The treehouse itself has a porch, queen bed, and chairs, but there’s a nearby bathroom and a covered camp house for cooking/grilling.

This awesome couple were no strangers to #vanlife — they had spent a couple years living in a van in New Zealand and working in permaculture. When they moved back to the states, they started looking all over for the perfect vehicle to make into home sweet home.
They proved that a box truck can be an excellent base for a home on wheels! Allysa and Harry purchased a 1990 Ford E350 Econoline box truck, and outfitted it with everything, including an awesome elevator bed, and a wet bath complete with a waterproof toilet paper holder.
Both of them work remotely, and have plans to find the perfect land to transform into an off-grid homestead someday. Awesome!

Silas and Jillian reached out to show us their amazing Ram Promaster, converted with a “Scandi-Japandi” aesthetic that’s clean, bright and functional!
While the couple live full-time in their Austin, Texas bungalow, they are enjoying travels in their “COVID-project” van. They recently spent six weeks on the road on their maiden voyage.

Wait until you see all the glorious storage in this park model tiny house built for Theresa by Movable Roots! The 40×10 home even has a mudroom, which was important since Theresa is placing her home on the family farm where she works — she needed a spot for those muddy boots!
Everything about the house is peaceful and soothing, from the spa-like bathroom to her navy-and-white bedroom with a huge closet. The green cabinets in the kitchen (which includes a dishwasher) feel particularly calming. Would you live in this tiny house?
