Michael decided to sell his big house in Tennessee and use the equity to buy his very own tiny house to take with him on his US travels. He found this awesome 18 foot Firefly from Little Homes of Texas and prettied it up with an awning, shutters, fold-up deck and more.
His home has a downstairs bedroom, compact bed and galley kitchen. It only weighs 3,800, meaning he can take it just about anywhere he’s wanted to travel since he hit the road in July! Read his story after the photo tour below.

The moon lodge yurt is the perfect spot to get your glamp on! While this is a pretty basic and very tiny yurt, the glass ceiling makes it one-of-a-kind, and it’s uninhibited sky views are breathtaking. You can even see the Milky Way some nights.
It’s heated in winter by a wood stove, and in the summer months large drapes help keep the sun out during the daylight hours. The yurt sits in a huge field surrounded by trees and trails, so you’ll feel private and secluded during your stay.

People have been building homes from earth for thousands of years, but here in the U.S. we have gotten far away from the practice. AECT Earth Block hopes to change that, and they produce innovative machines that compress earth into compact building bricks that are resistant to just about anything!
The company owner, Ryan, built his family’s 1000 square foot home using his machines and earth sourced from his own land. Even better, much of the wood and other elements inside the home were reclaimed locally, making this a super eco-friendly build!

This family of 5 was living in Pennsylvania when parents, Cassidy & Dawson, said they heard God tell them to move to Tennessee. At the time, they had no family there or any connection to the state. It just so happened that Dawson’s parents were also planning a move to Tennessee! They ended up finding their tiny house in Maine, driving it to Pennsylvania and then moving it another 12 hours down to their spot in TN.
Once they arrived, Dawson discovered he really enjoyed woodworking, and decided to make a business out of it. Now he sells hand-built sheds and chicken coops, built right outside their tiny house. The couple have three children together — Tabitha, Deborah and Peter. So cute!

Alex, like so many others, was getting cabin fever during COVID. Suddenly her remote work stuck at home seemed more and more unfulfilling — but she wasn’t ready to make a major life change yet. As a self-proclaimed “high maintenance” person, she said she was the last person anyone in her life expected to choose a nomadic life without a shower.
But then her mom passed away from breast cancer, which acted as a catalyst that pushed her out of her comfort zone and toward short bus life. She has realized in her months on the road that she needs so much less than she ever imagined she did — with three favorite outfits, a handful of hats, and her sweet puppy named Arlo. Enjoy her tour!
