Savannah dreamed of van life but was initially worried about what others would think. She eventually realized no one was living her life but her, and outfitted her own DIY van conversion she calls the “Babe Cave.”
The build features a full-sized bed, micro kitchen, and space for her cat and co-pilot, George. The exterior is intentionally stealthy, while huge drawers accessible from the back of the van in the garage space maximize storage.

Acony Bell is a tiny house community on over 50 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina, located 22 miles from Asheville and between Asheville and Brevard. The community has grown to include over 80 tiny homes from various builders, with residents able to customize their outdoor living spaces. After years in a 2,700 square foot house where she lived with her daughter during her daughter’s pregnancy, she was ready for something different when her daughter moved out.

Sarah dreamed of a nomadic lifestyle since she was 14 years old, but it took crashing her beloved Jeep to push her into making it a reality. With the insurance money from the accident, she was able to jumpstart her school bus conversion.
