The Boho XL is the version of ESCAPE’s Boho that adds the one thing the standard model cannot offer: a private bedroom behind a door, with a walk-around queen bed rather than a mattress wedged against a wall. That single change is what moves the Boho from a well-designed studio into something two people can live in without negotiating every trip to the bathroom.
The rest of the layout keeps the Boho’s flexibility. A large living area holds a fold-flat couch and two big flip tables that serve as dining space or a workspace, so the middle of the home reconfigures through the day. The kitchen carries stone countertops, a range, and a tall refrigerator with freezer, and the bathroom is genuinely large for a THOW, with a washer/dryer and a big tub/shower.

Carmen and Bill downsized from a 5,000-square-foot home to this 400-square-foot custom tiny house on wheels for retirement. The design includes two bathrooms, a mudroom, an expansive kitchen with a half dishwasher, and distinctive arched architectural features throughout. Underneath the standing-height loft bedroom is what they call the “basement”—a space configured as an indoor gym. An office area in the bedroom overlooks the arched details that define the home’s character. The tiny house is parked at one of the Incredible Properties communities in Tennessee.

The eOne is ESCAPE’s all-electric flagship, and this build showed the configuration that makes it feel less like a tiny house and more like a small two-story home: twin lofts connected by a catwalk. Most THOWs give you one loft you crawl into. Running a walkway between two of them turns the upper level into an actual floor you move around on, and it is the single biggest reason this layout lives larger than its footprint suggests.
Downstairs, the all-wood interior does a lot of work. Large windows on the main level bring in light from two directions, and the living area is deliberately unassigned: it can be a lounge, a work-from-home setup, or a ground-floor bedroom for anyone who would rather not climb at all. The kitchen carries an induction cooktop, electric oven, and a tall refrigerator with freezer, plus a combo washer/dryer tucked in nearby. Being all-electric means no propane lines, no tank swaps, and a straightforward path to running the whole house off solar later.

The Escape eONE XL is an all-electric tiny house on wheels built around an unusual idea: instead of one cramped sleeping loft, it has two large ones joined by a wide breezeway walkway. That single decision changes how the whole home functions. Rather than a single loft you crawl into, you get two genuine sleeping zones with a bridge between them — enough separation for a family, roommates, or regular guests, without carving the main floor into small closed rooms.
The “e” in the name is the important part. Every system in this house runs on electricity: induction cooktop, electric oven, and a high-efficiency air-source heat pump for heating and cooling. There is no propane tank to refill, no gas line to certify, and no combustion appliance venting through a wall. For anyone planning to add solar later, or parking somewhere that restricts propane, that is a meaningful simplification rather than a marketing bullet.
Outside, the unit wears dark bronze corrugated metal siding with a long manufacturer warranty, riding on a tandem-axle trailer. Metal siding is a deliberate trade-off for a house that may spend its life outdoors in a variety of climates: a higher upfront cost in exchange for skipping the repainting and resealing cycle that wood and composite siding demand. The photos throughout this tour were taken inside Escape’s production facility, which is why the rooms are unstaged and you can occasionally see the shop floor through the glass.

Rita does amazing paintings and murals as she travels the country in her pig-pink bus named “Wilbur” (like from “Charlotte’s Web”). What’s extra impressive is that she only spent $9,000 on the entire bus and build to create a warm, homey and functional rig.
A large section of her bus is dedicated to her art studio and supplies, but she still has space for a kitchen and couch-to-bed setup. While she built a shower in the bus, she quickly realized it was impractical and transformed it into a closet with a portable emergency toilet in the base.

Neal hasn’t had it easy — first, he had to get sober, only to find out about a cancer diagnosis soon afterward. He beat cancer and then decided he didn’t want to miss out on any opportunities. As a travel nurse, he used to rent an apartment for a few months at a time in each city he moved to—now he brings his off-grid cargo trailer conversion with him! He has had a couple of rigs, but right now he lives with his girlfriend in a trailer he converted in a couple of months. Greg loves camping and found, after years of RV travel, that he wanted to reach more off-road destinations. So he converted a Toyota Sunrader into a 4×4 overland motorhome capable of going where standard RVs can’t.
The rig features a full-sized bed over the cab that lifts to allow access from the living area to the driver’s seat. There’s also a kitchenette, a couch that folds into a bed, and plenty of storage. He even used maps as wallpaper throughout the interior.
