I thought you might also enjoy touring this 301 sq. ft. modern treehouse cabin designed by Andreas Wenning who is a treehouse specialist at baumraum architects.
It’s located in Berlin and is available as a one of a kind vacation rental where you can connect with nature in a unique way. And best of all, you’re not far from a subway station with access to restaurants and more.
There are actually two treehouses on the property and they’re almost identically designed. Inside you’ll find a kitchenette, living area, full bathroom, and lots of windows that bring the nature in. I hope you enjoy below.

I love this! I like modern architecture in tiny homes more than the traditional styles. I love that this is up high with elevated safety from wild animals and more interesting views. It probably makes the place feel bigger to up in the air. I wonder what is inside the pedestal that the home sits on – plumbing, storage, electrical connections, garden tools? A beautiful design. I could live very happily in something like this!
I love it but the treehouse is a bit beyond my price range. For a total contrast, if a person does stay there check out the medieval village museum nearby. http://www.en.stadtmuseum.de/node/1217 http://www.visitberlin.de/en/spot/museumsdorf-dueppel
Cool! Thanks!
Where did you find the information about the price of the house please?
This post is from 2014 so I don’t really remember any details. Presumably I followed one of the links or did a search for Urban Treehouse Berlin.
I’ll bet the view is gorgeous in winter!
Just beautiful. With a little more space, I could live here. Stackable washer/dryer, separate sleeping area, and a small closet. But, I am totally enamored of this treehouse idea. Is there any way we can get more information about that foundation? I imagine that the concept could be applied to other floor plans as well. I think that I could skip grand vistas and waterfront property to be nestled in the trees.
Oh to be young again & live in the trees! Absolutely stunning! Maybe someone could figure out an elevator for me and the dog……
Even more info, incl pictures at http://urban-treehouse-berlin.com/
I love it’s layout, it was well designed for it’s looks, as well as purposeful living area among the trees…..! Hay me Tarzan you Jane….? Love it…! But I would hate to see it’s price as I know it would break my heart…. But I would not have any issues with it because I can see where it will cost to have one like it built…!
Yea, sometimes you know something will cost you, but you also know why, and just have to sigh haha.
Bold and beautiful type, stylish. Be lying down and contemplate the fragrant vegetation that vibrates around you every day and tells you
” …ehi Good Morning!” in an atmosphere from Vertigo.
This is gorgeous!!! We could easily live in a place like this if we didn’t have our 8 rescue kitties and I could climb stairs. Like Kelly, I would want a washer & dryer and perhaps a separate bedroom/closet. But I really agree with Barb—“Oh, to be young again,” and healthy. I swear I am going to get a tee-shirt made that says, “Growing old is NOT for wimps.” You young people, enjoy every moment of your youth because it is gone far too soon.
Lovely treehouse! Hope you don’t have cold winters to clear the stairwell off. Beautiful surrounding area too!
Oh ya! Those would be tough to shovel!
