This June 18, 2014, was the first ever tiny house at the White House (and first Maker Faire there too). Sicily Kolbeck of La Petite Maison brought her tiny house to the President with the help of Teal Brown of Wishbone Tiny Homes, who hauled the home for her.
La Petite Maison (tiny house) was parked under the east portico of the White House. If you were to sit down in the east reception room on this day, you would see Sicily’s tiny house out the window. The proximity of this unique creation to the heart of American power is truly remarkable (see photos below).

Oh my gosh! This is so cool! You know, I am trying to get my almost 12 grandson to be Facebook pals with you, Sicily. His name is Zachary, and he is wants to be a tiny house designer and builder (like his granny). I have shown him every article about your house since you started building it. He thinks you are great! Anyway, what an amazing person you are, and you seem to be surrounded by amazing and supportive family. I’m your biggest fan, girl! You rock!
Marsha you rock and so does your grandson!
