tiny-house-by-camera-buildings-in-canada-003

This 186 sq. ft. tiny house on wheels is called Thousand Crow. It was built for a 50-year-old woman in Vancouver who wanted to own her own tiny home. Since Vancouver is known as the 2nd most unaffordable place to own a home in the world, according to CBC, Isabella Mori decided to go tiny so she can actually own her own home without going broke or struggle to pay for a house.

She found a builder named John from a company called Camera Buildings and after spending $39,000 she now owns her very own tiny house on wheels. She didn’t have to build it herself and she’s living in it legally at an RV park. The queen bed rolls out from underneath the ground so there’s no upstairs sleeping loft either. And there’s lots of built-in storage throughout this tiny house including built-in floor storage. What do you think, could this be the perfect tiny house design?🤔

prefab-method-home-01

This prefab modern house called the M2. It has two bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms within 1240 sq. ft. of interior space that’s inside so it’s definitely not tiny and- to me- not even small.

But I still think it’s worth looking at and I think you might enjoy it too. And since it’s prefab you might be able to order just one wing which would be somewhere around 500 sq. ft. Later, if you needed or wanted to, you can add on. You can see what I mean in the video below where you can see it being set up. The living and dining areas are on one side and the bedrooms are on the other. The enclosed glass bridge connects them together. It’s an interesting layout isn’t it? How would you change this to make it maybe smaller and most importantly better for your own needs?

la-chanchita-off-grid-bus-28

Right now I’m showing you an off grid bus motorhome that was rebuilt from scratch which took about 9 months to do according to this article. It was built for people who crave adventure. Whether you crave the thrill of extreme sports, capturing the perfect photograph, hiking to a summit at sunrise, or even playing tourist for a day, the La Chanchita bus will not only get you there, but serve as your personal “hotel on wheels”.

Imagine traveling in a lovingly restored 1966 Mercedes-Benz bus. Before its transformation, La Chanchita was a city bus in Buenos Aires in the 1960s. Manu Fombeurre, the brainchild behind La Chanchita, dreamt of “being able to take the world on the discovery of the continent”.

La Chanchita now serves as a home away from home with amenities that include sleeping for up to five, a fully equipped kitchen, a shower and toilet, water, electricity, and a cozy wood burning stove.

Your adventure begins in San Carlos de Bariloche, Patagonia Argentina with complimentary airport or bus station pick up. With La Chanchita, you’ll be able to access those out of the way spots in comfort.

This is not your typical vacation – expect a life changing journey with La Chanchita!

tiny-house-family-mortgage-free-ecourse-01

If you’re dreaming of a lifestyle change, but aren’t sure where to start, you’ll want to check out our eCourse. We’re Hari and Karl Berzins of TinyHouseFamily.com. We designed and built our tiny house and have lived here for almost four years while continuing to build our mortgage-free homestead. Our course has helped almost two hundred people get started on their own path to debt-free living and several folks have already reached their goals.

So often we get questions like—“Where do I even begin?” That’s what we do in the course. We begin. You begin. Every single day. All the tiny details of how we achieved mortgage-freedom are woven throughout the course—but our story only gives context to the tasks and lessons—it’s all about you and your plan—how are you going to achieve mortgage-freedom?

I had this sense that we needed to tell the whole story the real, trudging-through-mud-and-celebrating-the-milestones story—I needed to share the practices of self-care that make-up the bedrock below the foundation of our homestead, our true money story, our budgeting and saving, our downsizing, land search, and ultimately how we designed and built our legal tiny house. And so we did. And I’m glad we did, because we get notes like this:
