This is the EverGreen Tiny Cottage at Tuckah Farms in North Carolina.
It’s built on a foundation with a screened-in porch. It also has a pretty awesome outdoor shower. What do you think? Could a tiny home like this be the right fit for you?

I really enjoy seeing the homes on foundations, with a bedroom on the main floor – how about one with a basement?
Got a backhoe? Lot of digging involved with a basement so you wouldn’t want to attempt it without one available.
basements, ya, in some places, the basement is simply the first floor and the main living area is up stairs. In Richmond, B.C. there are no in ground basements. Go down 4 inches and you’re into water. I have seen some small homes which have two floors with living area on the first floor and the bedrooms upstairs. Its inexpensive to build a two story home., well less than all on one floor. only need one small foundation and one smaller roof. Sometimes you see homes which are 400 sq. ft. on both floors.
One lane way house in Vancouver being shown on one of the news letters is two stories, built with a garage downstairs.

I love this one. Always love a screened-in porch.
I’d like to get information on where to purchase one. I’m a Michigan resident with land.
When the home is on a foundation doesn’t that increase taxes?
My tiny home won’t be going anywhere and a foundation and maybe a basement would be great but I dont want to pay the extra taxes it would cause. Perhaps all this time Ive been thinking wrong.
