Deb was starting a new phase of her life after her kids moved out, and she got divorced, and living tiny was the perfect “next step” for her life rebuild. Both she and her sister purchased tiny houses and placed them on a lush rented lot near the woods.

Her off-grid home has a rainwater catchment system, solar system, and composting toilet. Since she has two lovely cats, she added a catio and catwalk around the living room, as well as some small cat hammocks so they can watch the world outside the windows. The large covered deck expands her living space when the weather is nice, and she and her sister frequently enjoy coffee there on their days off.

Suzy was living in a cabin with her son when their home was flooded. A friend mentioned she should get a tiny house, so if natural disasters were coming her way, she could hitch up and leave. At the time she was unaware of tiny homes, but once she started researching she knew it was the right choice for her!

She did a lot of dumpster-diving and thrifty shopping to keep her tiny house price at under $17,000! This was 9 years ago, and she thinks it would cost closer to $40,000 to build it today. But the most remarkable part of her story is it took her only 38 days (with no experience!) to build her happy home. You’ll love Suzy (and her jokes) in the video below.

Laure needed a tiny house that she could use as an office space for a bit before she moves into the home full-time. Baluchon took on the challenge and created a beautiful tiny home with a large office space that will fit her 34″ screen! She also sews, so they put a fold-down table behind the stairs where she can set up her machine.

Right now, the home has a bathroom and a loft bedroom, but when she moves in full-time, she will install more kitchen appliances. The living room steals the show with floor-to-ceiling windows and a slider that lets in copious amounts of sunshine!

This beautiful 27′ tiny house was built by a Master Builder in Sydney, Australia, and the result is a stunning loft bedroom THOW. The home’s best feature would be the “house-shaped” window in the living room that lets in oodles of natural light.

There’s also a large window in the kitchen, which flips up. If you put a deck on the home, that window would make a great pass-through to an outdoor seating area. Finally, there’s a bathroom with a black toilet and sleek shower stall. It’s for sale for AUD $130,000 (~$85,874).

The Pine Needle was a custom build by Acorn Tiny Homes, designed for a financial planner who wanted to live rent-free with her dog. This layout has a lifted living room floor with huge drawers that pull out from underneath, allowing plenty of storage.

The bedroom is in the loft, but it does have a landing where she can stand before crawling under the sage-green covers. In fact, many of the cabinets are that same beautiful sage green color, which makes the space feel natural and cozy. Which feature do you like most in this home?
