So I ran into this simple looking murphy bed over at ivgstores.com.

Murphy beds are great for small spaces but I have yet to find one inside of a Tumbleweed style tiny house (on wheels).

Has anyone else seen one?

One reason could be that these beds are rather expensive and the fact that most people use a loft or a large futon.

This bed starts at about $950 and the price will raise depending on the size and options you choose.

That’s all for this week’s Tiny House Furniture Issue. See you tomorrow!

When living in a small or tiny house space is a big issue and how it’s managed has everything to do with the final look and feel of home.

Choosing the right furniture so that you can organize all of your stuff is key.

Home Reserve has sofas, couches, sectionals, ottomans and designer cubes with built in storage.

Convertible bunk beds took the spot for Tiny House Furniture #7.

This furniture would be great for a small apartment, tiny house or extra room.

When the beds are put away it doesn’t take up much space (besides a good chunk of a wall) and looks great.

No need for me to keep talking about it, take a look for yourself…

This desk is small, sleek and stack-able.

The idea is that since the desk is small you won’t find a lot of things to put on it. And if needed all the pieces can be stacked away in one simple location.

Like the piece that holds your monitor, keyboard, printer, etc.

This beautiful desk is made by Heckler Design and is sure to inspire you.

Super-cool and space-saving home office design! Great for tiny and small homes or bedrooms.

This is called the Slide Away Bed.

It works a lot like a murphy bed except it pulls out instead of swinging out.

So when it’s not in bed mode it can be used as a sofa.

And the design is actually very simple as you’ll see in the photos below.

It’s a convertible piece of furniture that I think is perfect for tiny houses but can really be used anywhere.

Maybe even in a box truck conversion.

So let’s take a look…

Hi everyone I haven’t been updating daily because I’m out of town and on a busy schedule. I’ll do my best to get some updates throughout Sunday and everything will be back to normal by Monday.

I’m going to try to do a tiny house furniture post at least once per week. This will be a good way to show everyone what’s already out there as far as tiny house furniture goes.

Today I’ll be featuring a dual purpose chair which transforms into a ladder/step stool. Great for a library but can also be useful in a tiny house, especially since we deal with lofts and loft storage a lot.

These might not be tall enough to get you up into your bedroom loft, although it may?? But it’ll at least give you access to some of those hard to reach storage spots.

Here’s some information from the retailer…

Said to have been designed originally by Benjamin Franklin, master inventor, this easy to convert piece is a wonder. It flips over to instantly make a handy stepladder perfect for the kitchen, library, and garage or storage areas. Made from hardwood and finished in white, it will look great in you home and last through years of use. Chair is 16″W x 15.25″D x 34″H.

You might be able to order it at Stonewall Kitchen. (Link opens in a new window)

Here’s another one that I found…
