Farm Tiny House Community in Tennessee: $300/Month
Last week we shared Tiny House Finder with you, but today we want to share Try It Tiny, a new website specially designed for those wanting to rent a tiny house or land to put one on!
The site allows “Hosts” to sign up and share the tiny house they have for rent, or land they are willing to share with a tiny home. “Guests” can then rent the home or land after creating an account.
Unlike most Airbnb tiny houses for rent, those on Try It Tiny can be long-term rentals (although you only rent for 90 days at a time, and renew every 3 months).
This is a resource I think we’ve all been waiting for! Check out one of the homes for rent below.
Try It Tiny: Rent Tiny Homes and Land On This New Site!
The lot rent is $235.00 a month and includes sewer and water. You pay your own garbage and electricity. There are laundry facilities on site and small dogs are allowed. The lot sizes are between 40′ and 50′ to 100′ and only allow homes that are manufactured in the late 90’s and newer. There are a total of 40 lots.
They have multiple sites available for park model homes that you can lease for anywhere from $325 to $390 per month. The beautiful lake-side location looks like a tiny piece of heaven! Get all the details from their FAQ page.
Pendleton, Oregon might be the next place for tiny housers to flock to!
Right now, as part of Pendleton Estate Phase 2, the city is offering 51 lots for sale starting at just $14,900. They are welcoming tiny houses (including those on wheels!) and have no minimum square footage requirements.
Basically, it’s a dream come true for many people seeking a permanent place for their tiny. Talk to Mike Barns about making Pendleton your new home town: 503-581-0055; [email protected].
It currently needs a manager, possibly someone with a tiny house looking for a spot to park. The manger will work five days a week, five hours a day for a free space and utilities, cable TV, wireless internet, and a small compensation.
