This is the story of the Vastu tiny cabin, designed and built by a father and son using Maharishi Vastu Architecture design principles. It’s a 200-square-foot tiny home on a foundation with everything you need.

It has a full kitchen with marble countertops, a full bathroom with a shower, a spacious sleeping loft, a covered front porch entryway, and more. What do you think, is this a design that you can see yourself living in long-term?

This is the story of Ethan Waldman’s mortgage-free tiny house that he designed and built himself! What an incredible shortcut to mortgage-freedom, right? A tiny house… yes!

He built it for way less than today’s average home and is already enjoying the debt-free lifestyle that most of us work decade after decade for only to get there run down and beat up… With tiny homes, this is changing.

In this post you’re going to get to see how this man built a family bunkhouse tiny cabin for he and his growing family.

I think it’s great when when friends and family get together to build.

This way they don’t have to go to the bank to go into debt or  have to hire expensive contractors.

This is how to build a tiny house or small cabin mortgage-free thanks to friends, family, co-workers and you.

See how this man built his very own family cabin over the course of three summers.

I’m excited to get to show you Andrew and Gabriella Morrison’s mortgage-free modern tiny house on wheels.

They’ve recently finished building it and I think you’ll find it’s very functional, spacious, modern, and unique.

I’ve also been lucky enough to get to interview the couple for you so we can all learn more about how and why they did it.

In the interview you’ll find out how much it cost them, how long it took to design and build, find out dimensions, square footages, and more.

You’ll also get to see their completed tiny home below along with the rest of the details on it in the interview below:

I just had to show you Tim and Hannah’s off-the-grid 196 sq. ft. micro cabin.

They built it themselves completely in Tahoe, California and have been living in it for almost two years.

The couple started off with 20 acres and absolutely no blueprints.

But I’m sure they had tons of ideas that they had gathered online while dreaming about the project years before.

So here’s what they came up with… And it was all completely DIY with the intention of creating a space for living simply.

Our tiny house friends from New Zealand are at it again with another amazing tiny house tour.

Bryce Langston of Living Big in a Tiny House visits Brett Sutherland who just finished his 161 sq. ft. debt-free tiny home.

He was living in the Caribbean for many years and wanted to return home to New Zealand.

But Brett feared that if he had to rent a place to stay he’d lose all of his savings as soon as he returned home.

So instead of renting or buying a normal home, he looked into mortgage-free options and decided on building his own tiny mobile villa and named it the NV.

I thought you’d also enjoy this DIY tiny house project. It involves a really inventive man who went from 2000 sq. ft. to a 160 sq. ft. micro home.

The owner/builder has been living in it for more than 5 years now. The micro home is very energy efficient and was very inexpensive to build.

He built it with the help of his brother. They designed and built it all themselves using mostly reclaimed materials.

Shaye and Tom are a young couple who decided to design and build their own tiny house in West Auckland, New Zealand. It measures 7.2 meters long by 2.4 meters wide which translates to approximately 24′ x 8′. Or a total of 15 square meters (or 161 square feet).

They’ve only been living in it for two weeks as of the filming of the video tour and interview you can watch below thanks to the folks at Living Big in a Tiny House. What’s really inspiring is that the couple had never built anything like this before. They were able to learn most of what they needed by watching videos on the Internet.

What might be even more inspiring is that they’re only going to spend a total of about $20,000 to build it themselves. And that’s all with very high-quality materials used for the build.
