Hidden down a private path filled with lush greenery and trees you will find this cute cottage in Sausalito, California.

Featured on Apartment Therapy and winner of the Teeny Tiny division in the Small Cool Contest, Beth made this small cottage picture-worthy as you will see below.

Imagine being just 20 minutes from the hustle and bustle of San Francisco in this cozy little cottage… Well, that’s home for Beth.

I think it’s such a gem. And she has decorated her cottage in a fun-artistic-bright way.

Beth says, “Being teeny-tiny is never about living small. It’s about making it work.”

As you tour through the cottage below you will see she has managed to bring so much to this small space.

I can not help but love the outdoor ‘Alice in Wonderland’ dining area which you can see below.

I thought you might also enjoy this 510 sq. ft. beachfront tiny cottage that was originally built in the 1920s. Later it was somewhat abandoned for a few years so the new owners gave it a complete restoration while leaving it as original as possible.

Some of the unique features for this small beachfront cottage include clapboard siding, a stone chimney, an amazing porch, open floor plan, handmade furniture, and more (see below).

I’m so excited to show you this finished classic tiny cottage built using Tumbleweed Whidbey Tiny House Plans.

This home was featured in an article, interview and photo tour on At Home Arkansas titled, The Little House in Little Rock. And I think you’ll enjoy looking at what you can really do with 557 sq. ft. in this post. You also might like to know how and why Lyndsey (the homeowner) did it below.

This is a luxury park model tiny cottage with a rooftop terrace.

As I’ve said time and time again if you like the idea of simple living, but you don’t like going as extreme as 200-square-feet or less…

Then you may want to consider a home like the one you’re seeing here. A park model. These are usually around 400-square-feet.

Back in 2011, I showed you SignaTours teardrop campers, but did you know that they also build tiny houses? This is “Our Little Secret on St. George Island,” a tiny house vacation by the sea in Florida!

It’s 8′ x 24′ so approximately 192 square feet of space without including the sleeping loft.

The front porch accessories are all completely removable. They’re installed over the hitch so they also help conceal it so that it looks more permanent. Let me take you on in so you can see the rest of this tiny cottage on wheels below:

I always admire conversions like this barn to tiny cottage renovation.

I like them because they make great use of a structure that already exists.

In this case, what used to be a barn is now a beautiful little red cottage.

The best part is, it’s also available as a vacation rental (PS – have you checked out our new tiny house vacations section?) so you can stay in it if you want.

It’s a bed and breakfast in Portland, Oregon.

This is a Reader Submitted Guest Post – Send in Yours Here!

Just moved into an approx. 600 sq ft cottage in the mountains of NC.

It was built in 1939 as a garage – and was converted in the 50’s to a house.

Many of the door handles are polished wooden branches (for the closets and the back door and the bedroom door).

I used many of the hints and ideas from other folks ‘living small’ to take advantage of the unusual and tiny spaces in this place.

Truly enjoying the downsized way of living – and with those views out the back door…how could I not?

This tiny cabin is on the Pt. Reyes peninsula along the Northern California coast.

It’s a 260-square-foot building designed to support a large group of children for a yearly family summer camp.

The cottage is on a dairy farm and has a fun and yet traditional vibe that expresses the rural setting of the land.

Most of the materials used are non-corrosive and resistant to wear like the galvanized sheet metal on the roof, the batt siding and painted plywood.
