Additionally, you’ll find bunk beds appropriate for older children, and up in the loft, there’s a full-sized queen bed for parents. The A-frame lacks nothing in terms of amenities — there’s a full kitchen, a bathroom with a luxury rainfall shower head, and even a single-person hot tub on the large deck outside.

  • Vermont’s Jamaica forest hides a family-friendly, art-filled Mid-Century Modern A-Frame with a game room.
  • The A-Frame offers modern amenities, including a hot tub, grill, and fully equipped kitchen.
  • Not suitable for young children due to steep staircases, but perfect for a cozy getaway with a stunning view.

Now, this is different! The owners blended an A-frame with a Saltbox style cabin and dubbed it a “G-Frame.” I really like how it opens up the interior and offers more loft headroom, while at the same time keeping that cozy A-frame feel inside.

The whole cabin is run on solar power, and heated with the indoor wood stove, and wood stove in the nearby sauna. There is a foot pump sink for washing dishes, an indoor composting toilet, and during warmer weather, an outdoor shower. What do you think?

Some months back we showed you the Tye Haus, but here is one of her sister dwellings, the Foss Haus — another spectacular a-frame hand built in 1978. The home sits among lovely Douglas firs and is a secluded vacation spot for a family.

This is an ideal resting spot for hikers and adventurers, as you’re just minutes away from plenty of outdoor activities. But if you just want to stay snuggled in all day, the wood-burning gas stove, game cabinet and a good book should keep you more than happy! Plus, this house is pet-friendly with a $50 pet fee, which is awesome if you like to bring your pup on vacation. Enjoy the photo tour below and book your stay on Airbnb.

Anyone else dreaming of all the places you’d like to go once this pandemic is under control? The Tye Haus A-Frame in Washington is high on my “must stay” list.

This is a spectacular Airbnb rental (@tyehaus on Instagram) that sits next to two other similar a-frames. It clocks in at just over 1,000 square feet and is someplace I could live forever. It even has a hot tub!

The downstairs features a great open concept living area with a wood-burning stove and kitchen at the back of the house. Go upstairs in the loft to find two queen beds. Get more details and book your stay on Airbnb!
