After traveling the world with nothing but a backpack, living tiny was nothing new to Gemma. But building a tiny house from the trailer up? Well, that was a new challenge, but one she met gladly with the help of her dad.
She has a whole off-grid setup, including solar panels, a rainwater catchment system, and a composting toilet. Recycled materials, such as donated insulation, helped keep costs down, and she chose to use MDF instead of plywood to save money. You’re going to love the tour of this creative space!

Angie is a veteran who was sent overseas in one of the first waves of the war in Iraq, where she was exposed to horrible things that left her struggling with PTSD and her overall mental health when she got home. Eventually, she tried weaning off of the many prescription drugs she was taking (as prescribed) to help with her trauma, but the withdrawal was challenging. Vanlife allowed her to get closer to nature, which ultimately helped her the most in her healing journey.
Her Winnebago Revel van includes a lift bed, which was the selling point of this model. That said, she’s done oodles of renovations to the rig to where it works best for her, including overhauling the kitchen and adding a deeper sink to make cooking easier. This 28-foot Tiny Mountain Houses build sat in Moose, Wyoming — the doorstep of Grand Teton National Park — and sold fully furnished. Its most useful idea is the first-floor bedroom built around a Murphy bed and a bay window: the bed folds away during the day, so the room does double duty instead of being surrendered to a mattress, and there’s still a loft above the bathroom for guests or storage.
The finish level is high. A full kitchen carries a refrigerator, a gas oven and range, dark walnut butcher block counters, and a farmhouse sink. The bathroom is the surprise: a jetted tub, a washer/dryer unit, and a Separett toilet. A wall-mounted electric fireplace handles ambiance, and the exterior mixes metal and wood siding.

Here’s this 2024 Tiny House on Wheels built by Picknells Tiny Homes. The 30-foot gooseneck tiny house has a unique floor plan that includes an open-concept gooseneck bedroom and some mini lofts over the bathroom and office area.

So yes, absolutely nothing about this house is tiny by any stretch of the imagination, but it *is* alternative and unspeakably unique! And if Jenna from Tiny House Giant Journey loved it enough to give us a tour of the space, then it’s worth giving it a chance. Andrew turned this 11-bedroom mansion into a candy-themed vacation getaway in Florida.
There’s an ice-cream-cone-shaped pool, a life-sized game of Candy Land, an arcade, a Hersey spa, rival Pepsi and Coke-themed bedrooms, a bedroom that’s also a ball pit, and so much more. This amazing property in Orlando is the perfect spot for a family reunion since it can sleep up to 52 people! Which room would you choose?

This is a simple and sweet tiny home built on a farm in Elk, Washington. The home’s front porch looks out over an evergreen forest, and gorgeous sunsets paint the sky. Board and batten siding gives the space a cozy cottage feel.
Inside the house are two lofts, accessible via ladders, which bookend the main living area. There’s a desk, a two-person table, and a couch facing the entertainment center. Roman & Ioana are based in Switzerland, and they love the freedom that living and working on the road provides them. They purchased a 1990 Volkswagen van that had been converted and did some major renovations to make it work for modern full-time vanlife.
They tow along a storage trailer which allows them to keep all their gear and bikes safely stored away and keeps the van itself more open. The fiberglass roof lets them have a bed that’s out of the way from the living area, and they added a bathroom to the back of the van.
