The N2 is ESCAPE’s mid-century statement piece, and this one sat in Palm Court at the Escape Tampa Bay village, surrounded by palms with a lovely deck. It sold fully furnished as a custom-designed all-electric (EV) unit.
The defining feature is an open floor plan behind a huge wall of glass doors that opens onto an extra-large, very private outdoor living and work area. In a home this size that glass wall is doing structural work on the perceived space — it makes the deck read as another room rather than something outside.

Patty and Shane lived in a 3,500-square-foot home after spending years moving around the United States for Shane’s military career. Despite all those relocations, they’d never really seen the country. Once their boys were grown, they sold the house and started traveling in a fifth wheel.
After a couple of years on the road, they decided to travel from Texas to Alaska and downsized from the 400-square-foot fifth wheel into a 100-square-foot truck camper. This is the Copper Fox Treehouse in Maine, an incredible cabin shaped like a fox’s head—remarkable! The owner/designer/builder had a dream, and they executed it impeccably, with fantastic attention to detail that makes this small cabin feel magical.
The head is geometric, supported by welded brackets and wooden beams to create the proper angles to make this cabin look like a fox. But the cabin’s shape isn’t the only foxy thing—there are pillows, mugs, wallpaper, and more in fox designs and patterns—and those details sell the space.
