I had to share this story of a man who converted an old tool shed into a beautiful micro cabin for he and his fiance so they can live mortgage-free. He took an 8′ x 12′ tool shed and added insulation, windows, sheet rock and electricity. Since he and his fiance work a lot they…
Rancho Cotage High School students have built an amazing solar-powered off-grid tiny house on wheels. It’s the 98 sq. ft. off grid mobile micro cabin on wheels appropriately named The Independence. (Update: Now SOLD) You can use it as a backyard micro guest house, an office space, or as temporary housing while you build a…
I wanted to show you these modern micro shelters built out of Sydney, Australia. They can be used in combination to create a community of micro homes. Or they can be creatively used to create your own tiny housing compound. In this situation you might have 1-3 structures total to make up your home. For…
This custom built modular prefab home has the most amazing windows I think you will enjoy. Built in 2003 for approximately $60,000 by Geoffrey Warner and his team. A humble little abode is where a violinist of the Minnesota Orchestra finds a peaceful off-grid retreat with her family. WeeHouse Modern Prefab Micro House

And since the shelter sits 12′…

And asked the question, “can you actually live tiny legally?” This post will give you my ideas when it comes to legally living tiny, creating communities, and opportunities in the tiny house world. You’ll also get to read an…

And in many cases this doesn’t even have to be a fancy cabin with all of the comforts of home. It just needs to be…

Well, I’ve got good news because this is one of those moments. Introducing… The Brevard Tiny House Company in Brevard, NC near Asheville,…
