Jerry & Rene designed and built this amazing tiny house themselves during their spare time over the course of a little over a year. Rene wants to move into it, but Jerry thinks they should sell it! So if you’re seriously interested in this one-of-a-kind gem of a tiny home, you might have a chance to buy it from them. Update: I just spoke with Jerry on the phone, and he and his wife are currently living in it. 🙂 For now please enjoy and re-share below. Thank you!

When this woman wanted to find a better and more affordable housing solution she decided to go with a triple axle Tumbleweed Tiny House on Wheels built by The Shed Yard in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

It’s fully off-grid with solar panels and all and is 24′ long and 7.5′ wide to make room for road legal overhangs. The sleeping loft even features dormers to increase spaciousness inside.

Right now Ariel, the tiny home owner, is happily living in her house in the mountains of Wyoming with no plans of moving anytime soon. But if plans change, isn’t it pretty awesome that she can take her house with her? She named her tiny house Fy Nyth which, in Old English, means the nest. Isn’t that nice? Please enjoy, visit her blog for more info and re-share below. Thank you!

This tiny house on wheels has about 208 sq. ft. inside and is designed and built by Tiny Idahomes.

It’s a 26′ long model with cedar lap siding. Inside you’ll find two lofts… An 8′ loft with dormers and a 2′ storage loft.

When you walk inside through the beautiful double french doors you’ll be in the living area with the storage loft towards your right and the rest of the home to the left with its kitchen and bathroom.

Another thing you’ll notice is that the staircase to the sleeping loft doubles as your closet and/or pantry. Pretty cool, right? Please enjoy and re-share below. Thank you!

When you think of tiny house living, I’m not sure exactly what comes to mind. But if you’re thinking simplicity, affordability, and freedom…

This man has built that life for himself. It started with a $950 micro home on a trailer that he bought on Craigslist. And it’s evolved into a wonderful micro homestead in California. Rob Greenfield has appropriately named his new micro house the Teeny Greeny.

Some may think he’s crazy… That he’s lost it, right? But you and me can both see that he’s happy. In fact, some of us might even feel a little bit of envy as he lives a lifestyle with almost no bills and no worries. He seems to have complete freedom, happiness, and radiant health… And the financial cost for this life? Next to nothing. Yet he seems to be living at a level of abundance that trumps over the average life of today’s millionaires and upper class citizens because he’s stress-free and gets to live his life on his own terms.

On top of that, he has created a beautifully functional homestead with a gorgeous outdoor bathroom, outdoor kitchen, and an area in the yard he calls his bird nest where he relaxes, reads, and enjoys the ocean view. You’ve got to see it to really understand it so please enjoy and re-share below. Thank you!

If you have aging family members, then you probably know the difficulties associated with care-taking options such as nursing homes and assisted living communities. Sometimes, you want to be the person who takes care of your aging parent. You want to be as near them as possible, yet you also would like them to maintain a sense of independence while they are living with you. Enter the Drop HomeTM, a 240-square-foot mobile home designed specifically for families who want to keep close tabs on their aging family members.

The 24-year-old entrepreneurs who designed this house, Jesse Lammi and Jon Louiselle, live in Minnesota and say that they have designed this with their grandparents in mind. Lammi in particular said that his motivation for starting the organization NextDoor HousingTM, which builds the home, was his ailing grandfather. Lammi’s family wanted a transitional, mobile housing option but could not find what they were looking for. They eventually had to put Lammi’s grandfather in a nursing home.

This beautiful home is a part of a floating house community in Seattle called Portage Bay. The design is inspired by the American Craftsman style of architecture and is one of eight homes that shares a dock and some land reserved for parking.

Entering this 960 square foot home, you will pass through the foyer, the kitchen, and the dining area to get to the living room. With its many windows offering views of the water, the living room looks and feels open. The living room also has vaulted ceilings and a fireplace. If you wish to enjoy the outdoors, you can exit the house through sliding patio doors to access the lower level deck.

This house has two bedrooms—a master bedroom suite upstairs which has its own roof deck. The second bedroom is on the lower level, near the living room. It can also be used as a study or a home office. Both rooms have their own attached bathrooms.
