This is a 300 sq. ft. off grid cabin in the woods of Yulan, New York.
The owner is also a fashion and interior designer, Scott Newkirk, who enjoys staying here and getting away from the big city during weekends in the spring.
The cabin is completely off grid with no electricity and no running water. This allows Scott to completely unplug from the modern world. When he wants to take a bath he goes down to the nearby creek!
Outside you’ll find there’s a large outdoor deck for relaxing and taking in the surrounding views of nature. Inside you’ll notice an open floor plan and floating stairs that lead up to the sleeping loft. Simple but awesome, isn’t it?

Here is our tiny salvaged cottage for my little brother.
First, let me explain that we have a large family (8 girls and 3 boys) and both parents are deceased many years ago. We have always been very close and if any sibling is in need we are there to help.
My little brother’s house burned down and he lost everything including his small dog. He was just able to get out alive before the whole house was gone. He had his house on a family property so we had the land. My sister and I started looking at trailer houses, then we found this little house.
The house is one large room with a small bathroom. It had been empty for many years and was in need of a complete re-do. First we had to try and get the owner to sell us this house at the right price so we could then afford to have it moved to his land.
Please enjoy, learn more and re-share below. Thank you!

This is the story of how Alyce, Paul and their dog Banjo bought an old bus and converted into an awesome DIY motorhome to live simply and adventurously.
Paul and Alyce began tearing everything out of the bus to give it back life, light, character, and more storage!
Once they ripped everything out they discovered it had lots of rust. So they simply cut out the rusty metal and began to re-weld new steel to the frame. Fortunately, they have a great friend named Luke who is a welder that taught them how to do this. In one of the before and after photos below you’ll see the difference this made. Then it was time to re-panel the bus to complete the job of making it road worthy again.
Soon it was time to work on the inside. They went with a kitchen from IKEA because it was affordable, new, and easy to build. According to their original article, they triple enforced everything so it wouldn’t break or get damaged. And so far, so good! Please enjoy, learn more, and re-share below. Thank you!
