If you’re looking for a quiet, WiFi-free vacation to get back to basics, why not stay at Elizabeth’s Quaint Tiny Home, which she built with her dad? Located in Northern Michigan, just a few miles from downtown Charlevoix, her tiny house getaway features tons of sweet touches and 5-star reviews.
She supplies you with s’mores, snacks, and even a scrapbook of the building so you can see the history and hard work behind the place. The home is in the woods with plenty of walking trails, so you can get outside and enjoy a little forest bathing. What do you think?

Rhett And Jennifer knew each other in high school and reconnected in college when they started dating. Believe it or not, the Cozy Roller THOW they now live in isn’t Rhett’s first tiny house build! Rhett and his dad built a THOW when he was in high school, but it was too bulky and heavy to travel in.
Learning from his previous “mistakes,” this 120 square foot THOW weighs just about 5,000 lbs and is easy for the couple to tow and use to travel the country. It even features a magical hidden bathroom, which is super neat. Want a tiny house like theirs? They are selling and building replicas of their innovative design for $30,000!
I also loved that they built what they could with the resources they had — right now they’re saving up for a stove/oven and washer/dryer and doing without in the meantime. Pretty wise for young people! You can watch the full tour from Tiny Home Tours below.

My favorite aspect of tiny homes is that they force a certain amount of creativity that one doesn’t need in a larger home. That becomes incredibly evident in this cabinet maker’s stunning 39-foot tiny house in Australia!
Colin and his wife Megan built this incredible modern tiny house on a gooseneck trailer. While they subcontracted the frame and some other aspects, Colin’s expertise as a cabinet-maker came out as he added all kinds of hidden drawers and cubbies to help them store and organize their goods.
There is seriously not an inch wasted in this home! They have a stand-up bedroom over the gooseneck, with plenty of hanging storage and dream-worthy closets, a living room with an oversized comfortable couch, and even a clever stand-up work desk space in the secondary loft. Living Big in a Tiny House did a lovely job (as always) interviewing the couple and touring their home, so check that out at the end of the post!

This latest build from Tru Form Tiny is a gorgeous Villa model with a downstairs bedroom that has a modern farmhouse vibe. The client wanted to maximize the sleeping area and chose a downstairs bedroom, as well as a large living room with space for a comfortable couch.
The kitchen is more compact but includes a cool swivel countertop to allow more workspace. There’s also an under-counter fridge, washer/dryer combo unit, and an induction cooktop in the kitchen. The bathroom features the rarer incinerator toilet, as well as a luxurious tiled shower and a tiny sink.
Tru Form Tiny has a video tour of the place, which you can check out below!

Mario is one of our Tiny House Talk readers and submitted this fantastic guest house/weekend cottage that’s an A-frame with a terrace (porch) and absolutely stunning views.
He was inspired by Derek Diedricksen’s $1,200 transforming a-frame cabin (check it out here) and spent Saturday and Sundays building the a-frame with his brother over the span of about 5 months. While the home doesn’t have water and/or electricity right now, Mario plans to add in a kitchen and some solar panels in the future. There is an out-house near the cabin, and a second-story loft that sleeps about one person.
With the porch included, the A-frame is about 5 x 4 meters ( approx. 16×13 feet), and the inside of the a-frame is 3 x 3 meters (around 10×10 feet). He spent $4,500 on the build and it’s quite fantastic!

Jeremy had really never traveled before. He had a good-paying job and owned his own home, but he didn’t want to live his life feeling like he should have done something different and didn’t — so he found an awesome bus conversion on Ebay, bought it, and has been living on the road now for 3 years.
His dog, Norm, is famous on Instagram and Jeremy makes a living doing to his photography work and taking pictures of Norm, all while traveling in his bus. He has made conversions to the bus to make it more livable, including creating a separate bedroom and adding a bathroom in the back. Allison over at Tiny Home Tours did an awesome video interview and tour of the bus with Jeremy, which you can check out below.

Joel & Rachel worked hard for three years to make it possible for them to buy a bus conversion and travel on the road. They both work remotely for the same company, and hope to continue to be able to travel and keep earning an income!
The couple wisely rented out an old RV right after their apartment lease was up to make sure they could handle living tiny together. Even though the RV was awful, they realized they *could* live tiny and when they found this bus – previously converted on HGTV – they jumped on the opportunity.
They’ve been working hard to convert the bus into a space that works for them, and they’ve done a fantastic job with the upgrades. Check it all out in the video tour from Tiny Home Tours below.
