This is the story of how a nomadic couple, Molly and Al, have gone from living on the road in their converted bus to living in a homestead on their own land in New Zealand.
When you go through their homestead you’ll see they still have their house truck. In addition, you’ll find they have tiny structures throughout that serve a variety of purposes to meet their needs. You’ll also see the Molly and Al are now growing their own food, using solar and wind power, and more. Please enjoy, learn more, and re-share below. Thank you!

I just want to say that Molly was an inspiration to me. Do a little at a time and it will come together. I love what they have done with their little homestead. Again Molly was an inspiration for me. Thank you for this post. Now I feel like I can actually start my tiny house and have it done.
Merry Christmas to all on here.
WOW! I absolutely love everything about this beautiful couple, their gorgeous paradise and their amazing spirit. This video captures the essence of how a home does not make the family, the family makes the home. Thank you so much for sharing!
I’ve been told that when life is challenging you, seek out those who lift your spirit, find your own tribe. I’m living in a 16×24, formerly un-inhabitable, family cabin, into my tiny house. My heart lightened to be “present” with a kindred soul. It encouraged me to hang on. Twas not hard to feel like I was spoken to directly, and personally. A rare gift indeed. There is power, a loo, the cabin, a run down gazebo ( for an outdoor kitchen), my shed and a small tool shed.
You reaffirmed that, “only do what you can/there is lots of time/make it yours.”
Peace Out, Darcy
PS There is a small lake outside my door!
What a lovely couple and what an amazing homestead they have. It’s far and away the closest to my personal dream I’ve ever seen. They were a total inspiration!
Molly, you are an inspiration to us all and a wonderful, free spirit. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home, and your story. Keep smiling and sharing the gorgeous energy you bring to the world.
How absolutely wonderful. What an inspiration. Such a gorgeous couple!!
I am truly inspired by their way of life and mindset. Thank you for posting this. Xxx?
What an enchanting place to wander about, dream, and enjoy. The garden areas are so wonderful, lush and colorful. And, all the hues and patterns and textures are marvelously woven together into a higeldy, pigeldy home. Still, there is a place for everything and everything in its place. They have their own unique blend of happy comfort and scented tropical paradise that takes advantage of a beautiful sea view. How imaginative and creative this couple is, both practical and idyllic. Thank you for sharing such a treat with us.
I was in awe of it myself 🙂 It’s splendid!
Well! This couple sure made their TH very comfortable and cozy! Good for them!
I think I this is my favorite one of his interviews! It’s inspiring to see what can be built for so little funding. Thanks for sharing!
