This is Lily’s life in a 150 sq. ft. tiny house on wheels in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Her tiny home has a beautiful kitchen, living area, bathroom, and sleeping loft.
It also features floor storage, book shelves, a sitting desk, fireplace, and more.
Lily playfully says, “everything has to have two purposes in a tiny house.”
Because her place is so small, she’s can just use pine cones to heat it with her fireplace!
The tiny home cost Lily about $25,000 in USD to build.

Lovely!
Lily your house is so cozy,,,i can see myself ,,relaxing in a house like yours after a hard day at work, ,love all your cute cubby spaces to put things in gives the house character, ,,,way to go lily,,,its beautiful !!
Very cute little house. Very cozy inside and I love the colors she used on the outside of house. Funny, I always thought that my house at 1000 sq ft was way to small. But, after seeing all these tiny houses I now think that my house is gigantic. Goes to show you how perceptions can change. I think I could comfortably live in a 650 to 850 sq ft house. But, I can’t see going as small as 150 sq ft

Ha ha, in NZ a tinny house is where you go to buy marijuana wrapped in tin foil. Hence the name. LOL
Guess that extra “n” makes a BIG difference.
I was excited to see this is in Christchurch. I am hoping to move back with my father soon, he lives in Te Puke, and was wondering how easy it would be to get planning permission for a small house like this to be built on his land, he has roughly 1 hectare. Something like this, only single story, would be grand for me to live in, giving us both independence but allowing me to move back to him. If you can give me any tips I will be extremely grateful.
Many thanks

Currently living in Dublin, Ireland but hoping to move back to Te Puke, New Zealand, shortly.
Tried to share this on facebook and they refused to show it, said there is content that cannot be shown on facebook. Has anyone else found this a problem? Wanted to show my friends in NZ to see what they thought and possible problems getting permission to build on dad’s land. Any advice gratefully received.
The width seems spacious. I’m curious about the walls. Are they insulated?
I bet they are 🙂 — Tiny House Talk Team
