9×28 Freedom THOW 4

Incredible Tiny Homes does it again with a custom version of their Freedom model that’s 28-feet long with two dormered lofts.

I think the staircase in this tiny house is particularly noteworthy, with flip up steps, a pull-out pantry with a cutting board, and even a trash compartment.

It’s on it’s way to Washington State, after being built in Tennessee. This model starts at $30,000.

Family Transforms Shed into Farmhouse for $15K 12

Katy and Michael transformed a storage shed on some family property into their adorable 280-square-foot farmhouse! The couple have two girls, and together they just finished their second week of tiny living.

Their main goal in going tiny was to save money so they can eventually build their own spot. After years of renting, they wanted a home that really looked like “theirs” while being able to save. They spent just $15,000 on this amazing build, which includes a downstairs bedroom, bathroom, and an open-concept living and kitchen space.

They’re located in Round Top, Texas, and shared their story with us below! Enjoy!

Family of 5 Is Living in an RV for 1 Year to Save for A Home 12

Sometimes living tiny is a lifestyle choice, and other times it’s a stepping stone on a journey. For this awesome family of five, downsizing into a camper is allowing them to save a whopping $1,500/month so they can save up to buy land and build their dream home. The Price family is a great lesson in delayed gratification.

That said, their home (while tiny) is gorgeous! It’s light and airy with fun pops of color, and a far cry from the drab and dark canvas they started with. Despite being cooped up in an itty-bitty space with three kids under three, mom Angelina said her love life with husband Cliff has been better than ever before because the only place they can really hang out once the kids are asleep is in their bed ? Amazing!

We got to interview Angelina about living tiny with littles, so be sure to read that Q&A after the photo tour! And go ahead and follow the family on Instagram here.

Two Humans, Two Dogs & a Separate Craft Beer Fridge Bus Life

Ethan and Kim are the proud owners of this fantastic bus conversion, complete with a separate fridge just for their craft beer selection. Priorities. 🙂

The couple have two Great Danes and have a hard time finding apartments that will allow their large fur babies, so getting a bus allowed the couple a permanent home — and a way to travel — while keeping their dogs with them.

Because they spent more than a year on the build, they were able to scour Craigslist and Marketplace for nearly everything in their bus, which kept the cost for this gorgeous conversion at just $20,000! And this looks like a $100,000 bus. Tiny Home Tours did a great interview which you can watch below.

Cheeky Monkey Tiny Houses Selling Shells Renting Land. 5

While a professionally built tiny house is often the dream, it can come with a pretty hefty price tag. Cheeky Monkey is trying to make tiny homes more financially accessible by selling plans, shells, and trailers so you can DIY a tiny house.

You can purchase plans for their Jude and Strawberry tiny homes, and they also sell 18/24/28-foot trailers. Finally, their Blackbird and Jude shells are also available on their website.

Additionally, they are trying to help connect homeowners/landowners with tiny home dwellers looking for a spot to park. They’ve created a webpage where people with land and those looking for it can connect here.

Overcoming VanLife Struggles and Regrets

While we see a lot of positive things about vanlife here at Tiny House Talk, it was refreshing to hear some raw truth from vanlifer, Rania, who hit the road with her dog Sequoia in “Egg,” their Transit van conversion.

She didn’t enjoy those first weeks of vanlife. She was scared and felt like she’d made a huge mistake — being on her own and in such a small space felt claustrophobic. But her story has a happy ending. After sticking it out and learning how to make her van space work for her, she has spent a year in her van successfully!

Wait until you see her van’s sleek black interior with fun vintage pops of color. Thanks Tiny Home Tours for the interview!
