renovated-eco-airstream-vacation-0020

Today this couple is busy renovating a traditional 500 sq. ft. small home that they recently bought. It’s a very old home (over 100 years old!) so they tore it down and are building again from scratch.

Cool, right? But it gets better because before that they had sold their previous home (and all of their stuff) and they renovated and then lived in this tiny Airstream for 18 months. And that’s what I’m showing you here now.

And if you want you can even rent this exact ‘Eco Airstream’ using Airbnb. It’s in Alameda, California and can accommodate up to two guests. This travel trailer has been completely remodeled with solar power, clay walls, LED lighting, a waterless composting toilet, full kitchen, shower, and more.

Young-Couple-Travel-US-in-Converted-1984-Blue-Bird-Bus-016

Have you ever dreamed of taking a road trip across the United States? Meet Steven and Lindsey, these two young travelers did just that.

After living in Florida for one year they decided to head home, to Oregon, but not without a few detours along the way.

They purchased a 1984 Blue Bird Bus and converted it into their home on wheels.

After completely transforming the interior of the bus using reclaimed materials they were ready to hit the open road.

Have a look below at their adventure and the transformation of this 1984 Blue Bird bus.

Couple-Build-24-Ft-Tiny-House-on-Wheels-008

We love when we find people who are out there really living their dream and making things happen!

I want you to meet John and Amy of Tiny House of the South.

They are building a 24 ft tiny house on wheels. Why? So they can live debt free, travel and to live the life they dream of.

It all began for them in 2010 when Amy saw Jay Shafer’s blog that inspired them to build a tiny house on wheels of their own. The sheer beauty and simplicity of the whole tiny living idea was fascinating to Amy and soon, John, too.

“Once she stumbled across the tiny house movement, Amy realized that it could be a way to build a better future. Her conviction for a simpler way of life was the infectious catalyst to start living the tiny dream, and now she works to share that dream with anyone who will listen.” – Tiny House of the South

They attended a hands-on workshop with Dan Louche of Tiny Home Builders. And by 2013, they began saving and planning to build the ultimate tiny house on wheels for themselves.

The tiny house is not done yet but we can continue to follow the progress on their website and Instagram.

It’s the simplicity of this small house that draws me to share it with you. The way the space is open with no hallways maximizes the living area of the entire home.

This particular casita (translates to: cottage or small home) is home to the resident caretaker of the vineyard on the property.

It’s part of a larger renovation project soon to come. You have all the basics here: a kitchen, dining area with living space, two bedrooms and bathroom. What do you think of this simple small house?

nautilus-seashell-tiny-home-by-arquitectura-organica-001

The Nautilus is a Seashell-shaped tiny home by Javier Senosiain of Arquitectura Orgànica in Mexico which translates to Organic Architecture.

One of the best features is an oversized custom shaped stained glass window. And that’s not mentioning the amazing shape of the entire structure as you’ll see below.

The architect created the home in the shape of a shell to connect it with nature. All-in-all, it has a very creative and whimsical look and feel to it, don’t you think?

Please enjoy your tour of this creative and artistic small home below. If you also think it’s pretty awesome you can re-share it with your friends below. Then leave your thoughts about it in the comments below. Thanks!
