According to Jola Josie, a travel blogger spending the year reconnecting with her New Zealand roots and traveling among gypsies, this might just be New Zealand’s Tiniest House.
Like her own THOW, this one is built on a ute, so owner Ivan had to focus on the weight of his build, using mainly pine for the frame and cedar shingles. The reclaimed and recycled home has an itty bitty kitchen, loft bedroom and storage space (he’ll build his travelling bathroom later). He uses one solar panel to power his lights and little water pump for his sink. You can watch Jola’s full interview with Ivan below the pictures.
Get more information about Jola’s journey after the video. Enjoy!

The itty bitty home packs in a storage couch, tiny table, compact kitchen and lofted double bed. It is missing a bathroom (although it has an outdoor shower!), but it’s a challenge to fit one into just 14 ft.! The exterior features burned cedar, which was a new endeavor for Ben and family that you can learn about in the video.

This is The Cado by Thimble Homes that’s for sale right now in Oregon.
They named it “Cado” because the color looks like the inside of an avocado! As an avid avocado fan, I must agree. The inside is a stunning contrast of light beetle kill pine walls and deep chocolate-colored cabinets. You get a galley kitchen, full bathroom, two loft bedrooms and a spacious living room that just needs some cushy couches.
Get all the details, price, and contact information for the builder below. Enjoy!
