This is Peter Stiehler, head of Catholic Worker Hospitality House, who, along with his wife, is working on finishing a tiny house for the homeless and fighting for their legality in his city.

He currently runs a homeless shelter and a kitchen that serves breakfast “to about 70 people a day.” This month he has a meeting with the San Bruno community development officials in order to make a push for the city to allow more of these tiny homes in San Bruno, California. Read the full story at Mercury News.

Good luck to Peter — and great work!

This is Hammerstone School’s First Tiny House, and it was built by women.

Hammerstone School is a carpentry school in New York that teaches women to – you guessed it – build tiny homes (and other things!). Liz Coakley has lived in the home she helped build since 2013, but now the house is for sale. It has a loft bedroom, is plumbed for a shower and toilet, and has amazing cozy touches inside. Enjoy!

This is the Treehouse Lounge THOW in Austin, Texas that’s for sale sold!

We are currently living in it now in one of the best RV parks outside Austin in the hill country by Lake Travis.

Buyer can leave it on the lot here in the RV park or move to another destination. This is our second tiny house. I built this house and the first house. We figured out we like to build them on our spare time and live in them to work the kinks out and do some creative decorating. Then pass it on to someone that wants to start this cool lifestyle.

It hauls very well and smooth.
