Here’s another set of tiny house plans we think you’ll love — the Desiderata. Build on a gooseneck trailer, you get that awesome split-level living room (or maybe a bedroom?) along with the rest of the great layout that fits in two additional lofts.
There’s a spacious kitchen and bathroom, and oodles of storage tucked into every corner. You can watch a video tour of the original home below, and get the plans here.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, many people found themselves suddenly jobless, trying to figure out what to do in the midst of so much chaos. For Tay & McKay — a couple who had moved to Hawaii as destination wedding photographers/videographers — all of their work dried up in a couple of minutes. But instead of getting discouraged, they teamed up with some friends/family members and built a gorgeous luxury tiny house!
Now the couple is headed back to the mainland to start building tiny homes out of Dallas, Texas! But if you want the plans for this build, they’re selling them on their website here.
We got to interview the couple, which you can read below, and they told us all about their design philosophy and process. Hope you enjoy the stunning photo tour (done by them, of course)…
Here’s your chance to help the homeless and get your own Jay Shafer/Four Lights Tiny House Company plans for just $250.
Shafer and affordable housing advocate, River King, have teamed up to build a 5-to-6 home community for the homeless in Sonoma County, California. Along with the houses, Shafer and King will create a common area and garden where children can play safely.
They are looking for $100,000 to complete the project, and in order to raise the funds, Four Lights is offering any of its designs for a tax-deductible donation of $250. This is really a win-win if you like Shafer’s designs and you support his mission to provide affordable housing for those in need.
Check out the video about Tiny Houses for Humanity below, and head over here to donate (and get your blueprints!). To see Shafer’s plans, go to Four Lights Tiny House Company.
