If you’re looking to go tiny or downsize but don’t exactly want to live in less than 200-square-feet OR be limited by an 8.5-foot wide trailer, then you might like this option. It’s still a tiny house on wheels but it’s a park model because it’s much bigger.

These sort of units are nothing new, and this one is built by Palm Harbor Homes. It has a relaxing beach vibe, doesn’t it? Take a look below, and let us know in the comments, would you consider living tiny in a park model sort of like this one?

This is the small house that feels big… It’s an 800-square-foot custom designed and built home on a foundation and I think you’re going to like it.

I just can’t get enough of small houses that are well designed like the one you’re about to see here. It’s a timber frame build by Nir Pearlson in Oregon. His firm specializes in green designs.

In this case, the client wanted an energy-efficient small home made out of sustainable materials. The clients are an aging couple who are nearing retirement so they wanted a single-story design that they’d love. Here is the result.

The only problem was that he wanted to be able to live and work from it so he was going to have to come up with some changes.

From 350 Sq. Ft. to 960 Sq. Ft.

He did this by requesting special planning to double the height of the structure. These numbers do include a garage though so it is quite a small home as you’ll see.

I recently asked my own Facebook community for some inspiration about topics for the various blogs I write.

One question that intrigued me was this one:

“I’d be curious to know where folks think “tiny” ends and “small” begins. I dream of downsizing to a smaller space, but I don’t think I could live in a tiny house for an extended period.”

This is an interesting question so I thought I might look into it a little more.

Architect Karl Wanaselja and partner Cate Leger created a unique small house in Berkeley, California.

They call it the McGee House. It consists of 104 salvaged car roofs which cover the upper side walls of the home. The inspiration behind the upper siding came from fish scales.

The lower wall siding is made out of a waste product from the furniture industry in clad form called poplar bark.

The awnings are side windows from America’s best-selling minivan, the Dodge Caravan.

It’s a 2 bedroom home with two levels and a gorgeous upstairs balcony.

From the outside, at just 14′ wide, it appears smaller than it’s actual size.
