His new tiny house design is aimed at taking things back to the absolute basics and simplicity in all aspects. That means a home which is simple and pleasant to live in, simple to build and also simple to afford. This new tiny house design costs a remarkably low sum of US $5000!1
Constructing the tiny house herself, mostly from reclaimed and seconds grade materials, she was able to build her small home for a unbelievably low price, meaning she now owns her own home debt free.
Together with the amazing team from Tiny House Chattanooga, we have built our very own tiny house on wheels in the United States of America! This incredible home on wheels is 16ft (5 meters) long and designed to travel while still being jam packed with clever design features which make it a fully functional home on wheels.
Be sure to watch the two video tours at the bottom of this page. In one of them, you will get the story and full tour of the tiny house and in the other, you will learn how it was built from start to finish. Enjoy!
Asha Mevlana is an electric violinist with the Trans Siberian Orchestra who is used to life on tour but wanted a solid place to call home. This incredible tiny house is constructed on foundations but is joined by a mobile music studio on wheels, which also doubles as a practice space as well as performance venue.1
So what do you think of Asha’s tiny home? How well would it work for you? What would you change about it to make it perfect for you?

Just when I think I’ve seen it all! This is a Tiny Castle on Wheels, built by Justin and Jola.
When traveling, the turrets of the home fold in, making the housetruck look more or less “normal.” But as soon as they arrive at their destination, the couple opens up the house and you see a striking medieval castle. No way!
Jola works with her twin as an acrobat in New Zealand, and I’m certainly jealous of her castle home. Watch the video tour posted below with Living Big in a Tiny House and check out this post for more details.
Annelies used recycled materials from the 2011 earthquake in New Zealand to build her own Tiny House on Wheels for just $19,000.
She’s a furniture-maker, and thought building a tiny would use many of the same skills, but she said the house challenged her, for sure! It features a lovely weathered exterior and a quaint cottage feel on the inside, complete with a lovely old-fashioned wood stove/oven!
It’s just a fact that Japanese design is almost always better suited for tiny spaces than our “bigger is better” American style and that couldn’t be more true in this Japanese Tiny Home on Wheels!
Living Big in a Tiny House took a tour of the home with it’s now-owners who purchased it from a brilliant designer. The itty bitty home can easily fit in a parking space and yet includes a kitchen, sleeping space and seating for up to six people. All in all, it weighs no more than 600 kgs (around 1,200 lbs). Be sure to watch the whole video tour and see the space transform before your eyes.
