Lessons from This Forest Office Design

  • Partial Burial Provides Thermal Mass: Underground sections maintain stable temperatures year-round without excessive energy use
  • Transparent Roofs Connect to Nature: Looking up into the forest canopy creates a unique workspace atmosphere
  • Architects Should Inhabit Their Ideas: Designing and using their own unconventional office demonstrates commitment to experimental architecture
  • Remote Locations Enable Creative Freedom: Forest settings allow designs impossible in urban contexts
  • Workspace Design Affects Work Quality: Surrounding employees with nature may enhance creativity and reduce stress

Saw this one back in March or April on the 'Ready Made' magazine website. It IS pretty cool. Also see that you've been visiting that Cushman site again, amazing the things people come up with to put on those things.
