This couple took a 1993 Ford School Bus and converted it into their very own DIY motorhome cabin in only 3 months time.

The conversion took a lot of hard work but now they have been living in the bus and traveling for more than four years.

It has a diesel engine and the bus is built on a Thomas chassis. Please enjoy and re-share below.

This is a 144 sq. ft. backyard shed art studio built by Historic Shed.

It has a 4′ extension on the roof for a covered front porch and it’s painted beautifully.

This backyard shed has French doors on three sides so it has a lot of light and openness.

It also has cypress siding and a metal roof. When the french doors are open you get a nice breeze inside, too.

The shed has built in shelves along the back wall and a mini-split AC system. Let’s take a look inside.

This teardrop camper called Hütte Hut™ seems to be inspired by domes. Maybe it’s just me, but I think you might understand when you look inside.

At first glance, I immediately fell in love with the design. To me, it’s probably the best looking teardrop trailer I’ve ever seen. What do you think? It’s created by a company called Sprouting Sprocket Studio and I just think it’s super awesome.

Andrew Morrison and his wife, Gabriella, live in a 207 sq. ft. modern tiny house on wheels that has an additional 110 sq. ft. in loft space.

They not only live in it, but they also work out of it. It’s a tiny house design they created called hOMe. They live in it completely debt-free and it has afforded them some valuable extra time and money for the more important parts of life (family and travel just to name a couple).

Morrison has been a builder for over 20 years and has been teaching others how to build since 2004. Right now I’m inviting you to enjoy his recent TED Talk in Colorado on the tiny house movement where you can explore how you might fit into the tiny house movement and the benefits you can experience by doing so.

This 610 sq. ft. small house in Oakland, California is a guest post by John Olmsted of New Avenue Homes

Mona teamed up with her daughter Lisa, son in law Aaron and two grandkids to create this backyard casita near the famous Berkeley Gourmet Ghetto. Nicknamed Chez Mona due to it’s proximity to Chez Panisse, it is walking distance to an abundance of coffee shops, grocery stores, restaurants and all the best that Berkeley has to offer.

The biggest surprise of the entire project came when both Mona moved out of her big home at the top of Euclid in Berkeley and Lisa and her family moved from their home in the Kensington hills and they all realized that while they loved their Golden Gate Bridge views, they had been missing out on the luxury of walking to Philz Coffee and sitting at a cafe together on their way to work. The lack of shuttling kids to every activity was another big plus of being “downtown”.

This 610 square foot backyard home with completely level surfaces throughout. This includes a flush mounted shower. The home has radiant floor heat, a whole house fan, spray foam insulation in the roof, tile throughout. The design was tucked in behind a fairly large apartment building to the south but fortunately, both morning and afternoon sun shines in the bedroom and living room windows.

This is a one of a kind Little Church of Miracles tiny house on wheels that was built in the Spring of 2010.

It weighs about 5,600 lbs and is built on a flat bed trailer so it’s completely mobile. It’s 16′ long by 8’6″ wide.

The exterior wood siding and roof are made of cedar. The interior is built using redwoods and the panels and trim are pine.

It’s fully insulated and the tiny chapel inside seats six people, has standing room for an additional six, and even has room for a pastor, bride and groom. So it’s great for weddings, baptisms, or sermons.

In this post you’ll get to see and learn about the Zion Tiny Cabin which was built from one of our readers, Josh Alfaro.

He’s been inspired by other tiny house projects and recently started a tiny cabin of his own. And lucky for us, we get to see it right now. 🙂

The cabin is 200 sq. ft. with a 13.5′ high ceiling and loft space. In total the project cost less than $1,000 in building materials thanks to the use of getting to use recycled materials.

There’s still some finish work and interior work left to complete which Josh plans on working on during weekends. So stay tuned on his blog.
