Deb was starting a new phase of her life after her kids moved out, and she got divorced. Living tiny was the perfect “next step” for rebuilding her life. She and her sister purchased tiny houses and placed them on a lush rented lot near the woods.

Her off-grid home has a rainwater catchment system, solar system, and composting toilet. Since she has two lovely cats, she added a catio and catwalk around the living room and some small cat hammocks so they can watch the world outside the windows. The large covered deck expands her living space when the weather is nice, and she and her sister frequently enjoy coffee there on their days off.

When Katya lost her job in 2020, she used her stimulus checks on something tremendous—a budget van conversion! She and her brother spent five weeks working hard to transform this camper van into a home-on-wheels.

About six months ago, she decided to hit the road full-time in her rig, and she’s been loving the nomadic lifestyle. Her build is simple—there’s no fridge or bathroom—but it works for her! And she only spent $10K on the entire thing!

This 2005 Freightliner FS-65 2WD has been lovingly converted into a school bus tiny house! It has one of the largest shower stalls I’ve ever seen in a conversion, which takes up half of the bathroom that spans the entire width of the school bus.

Besides the impressive bathroom, the kitchen is also roomy, with large butcher block countertops on each side of the bus. It even has an oven, which many nomadic homes opt out of! The current owner is asking $40,000 or your best offer. The house is in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Leopard family — yes, their last name is “Leopard” — is traveling New Zealand in an excellent travel trailer. After having so much fun on a camping trip, they decided to make a “three-year plan” to allow them to travel for an entire year full-time.

That plan involved selling vehicles and another caravan, saving money, and finding the perfect new caravan that comfortably sleeps everyone without converting a dinette into a bed. Now, they are on the road, experiencing so much of what New Zealand has to offer!

We showed you the Kyka cottage plans back in 2021, but they’ve been updated with new renderings! These pictures show off a beautifully modern cabin that could easily serve as a full-time residence for a couple, or even a small family because of the loft bedroom space.

The plans have a generous first-floor bedroom next to a full-sized bathroom. A washer and dryer fit in the utility closet, and the kitchen has all the standard appliances, as well as a large island with bar seating.
