The Culp by Movable Roots is one large tiny house with a ground-floor bedroom and a walk-in jacuzzi tub (added by the clients’ request).

This custom build is a whopping 500 sq ft with lofts and features two “office” lofts with built-in desks for working from home (they’ll double as guest rooms). The kitchen has a cooktop, stove, 10-cubic-foot refrigerator, and washer and dryer.

But wait—there’s more! Something I’ve never seen on a THOW before: it features a screened-in porch that’s part of the build itself. Pretty neat! Enjoy the pictures below, and contact Movable Roots for more information and pricing.

This adorable skoolie conversion is home to Kai, Julie and their cat Lilu. They’re parked in Germany now (Kai’s home base) but typically travel throughout Europe.

Kai (@wetravelbybus on Instagram) is a freelance filmmaker and photographer and jumped on the bus life bandwagon to escape a life where he was working for things that he didn’t need and didn’t truly make him happy. Minimalism has served him well, and he’s been living in his bus for just about 2 years now with no regrets.

We got to do a Q&A with Kai which you can read at the end of the post. Enjoy the photo tour!

Marie and Ben met while backpacking in Costa Rica and, somewhere along the way, fell in love, Ben says. After living with the bare minimum for months during their adventures, renovating an old school bus and living tiny didn’t seem so far-fetched.

So now they’re the proud owners of Gus (@littlegusthebus), their teal and white renovated school bus that lives on a large farm property in Canada. The couple is taking a leap of faith trying to launch a wood-working business from the workshop/barn on the property. The interior of this traveling home is coated in cream and dark wood and features the most adorable tiny wood-burning stove.

Remember our story last week about Virginia’s retirement van-life? Meet Madison and Raynor (@vandmvanlife on Instagram), the masterminds behind her off-grid van renovation. This couple created their own solar-powered van and has created a whole business (Ray Outfitters) helping clients in Canada reach their tiny-living dreams.

After finding out the hard way that a 5th wheel RV can’t stand up to Canadian winters, Raynor — a licensed automotive mechanic — outfitted his own van capable of withstanding -40 Celsius temperatures. They’ve lived in this van for two years and are now in the process of building a permanent workshop where they can assist more clients. Be sure to read our interview with the couple below and watch their full van tour to see where they’ve hidden a composting toilet!
