Here’s some beautiful new construction — a 24′ tiny house with your standard loft bedroom layout. You walk into the living room, where you can fit a futon or small couch. There’s a galley kitchen and a small bathroom with a shower stall and residential toilet.
The loft is particularly spacious, with enough room to fit a king-size mattress and still move around. Outside you’ll find a cool black and white exterior with a mix of clapboards and board and batten siding. What do you think?

This couple wanted a chance to travel Europe — and do it inexpensively. So they decided to build out a campervan! Before it became their home, the van was a 4-wheeler transporter and completely gutted inside.
Now they have a folding couch/bed setup, a bench couch, and a nice kitchen space. Enjoy the photo tour below and then read our Q&A with the couple.

You asked for it, and Wilderwise made it! A tiny house with a full second story that pops up when the tiny home is stationary. Once lowered, it can be towed without a special permit, making it a great option for anyone who needs a comfortable bedroom but plans to move often.
To date, your only options for headroom in the bedroom were longer (and often wider) tiny house on wheels with ground-floor bedrooms that required special permits to move. Or maybe a gooseneck trailer. But now you get an easily-movable tiny house on wheels and a full second story. What do you think?

Most van conversions follow a familiar playbook: light wood, white walls, earthy tones, and that “boho beach cottage” aesthetic that dominates social media. Kyle Canady threw that playbook out the window. His Mercedes Sprinter conversion looks like it belongs in a boutique hotel rather than a campground, with a bold black, white, and gold color scheme anchored by one of the most striking ceiling treatments we’ve ever seen in a van: backlit hexagonal LED panels that turn the overhead space into a design feature rather than an afterthought.
Kyle isn’t your typical vanlifer. He’s a serial entrepreneur and former gym owner from Tulsa, Oklahoma, who traded the brick-and-mortar grind for life on the road. What makes his build particularly interesting isn’t just the luxury finishes — it’s the design confidence. Where most builders play it safe, Kyle committed to a cohesive vision that prioritizes atmosphere and personality over the usual “maximize every inch” approach. The result is a van that feels intentional, moody, and genuinely unique.
Despite the high-end aesthetic, this is a fully functional live-in vehicle with a complete bathroom, a proper kitchen setup, and a comfortable sleeping area. It proves that van life doesn’t have to look rustic to feel like home.

Here are some more awesome free plans from Zero, this time for a 10×14 cabin with a Scandinavian feel. The building has a traditional gable roof and includes planning for a wood stove to keep it extra cozy.
This would make a great backyard office, although you could easily add a mini kitchen without sacrificing too much space. What do you think of these plans? Update: the plans for this design are no longer available, but we’re keeping the images and inspiration here for anyone collecting ideas.

Michael is a musician who wanted a quiet place he could go to and write music. Originally he thought he’d convert a tiny home in just 3 months, but his attention to detail (and there are so many thoughtful features in this build!) meant it took 2 years and 8 months to see the finished product.
The cozy cabin skoolie has a huge rooftop deck, a stone-facade fireplace, and a really cool desk space that hides a full keyboard and a TV/computer monitor where he can edit his work. He has under-bed storage, a great kitchen, and a wet bath. Enjoy the tour!

Karen and Chris worked hard and raised six children together, but for their retirement, they’ve hit the road in a self-converted skoolie to see more of the country! While they miss their kids, it’s been so fun to travel around together.
Their conversion is beautiful, and it’s fun to see a skoolie with no roof raise, just to give you an idea of what you can still do in a space with lower ceilings. They included everything to make themselves comfortable — even a soaking tub! You’ll love the tour below.
