Description

This single-story, 24-foot tiny house was owner-built on a tandem axle trailer. It features a curved roof with fancy trim on both ends, a storage unit over part of the trailer tongue, and an exterior-entry utility closet with access to all plumbing and electrical. The house is fully insulated with sheep’s wool. The layout includes a bed/sitting room, eat-in kitchen, and a roomy bathroom with bathtub and shower. This house has many ADA features including a sink and stove you can sit down at to cook and wash dishes, raised receptacles and lowered rocker light switches, Anderson casement windows opened by cranks, and room to navigate with a small walker. The three living areas are laid out so that each feels like a separate space, yet there is plenty of room to move around. A single bed that doubles as a couch could easily be altered to create a pull-out double or queen-size bed. An antique Petit Godin wood/coal burning stove keeps the interior toasty warm and prevents condensation. The kitchen and bathroom are separated by a sliding shelving unit, and there is room in the kitchen to build in more cabinetry. The exterior features cedar siding and colorful trim.
